One of the ways in which you can reduce your risk of falling is by changing the types of shoes you wear. 06.01.2022 Working from Home? Good posture is important to maintain a healthy back and neck Tip 2 - POSTURE & COMPUTER SCREEN SETUP Sit upright so you back is supported by a chair - do not slouch.... Your hips, shoulders and ears should line up almost vertically Ensure good neck posture by having the top of the 1/3 of the screen at eye level. Screen size needs to be large enough to read without leaning forward. #wfh #workingfromhome

04.01.2022 FALLS PREVENTION Did you know around 50% of Falls happen at home? As you get older the chance of Falling increases. It is important to make your home safer so you can get on with enjoying the fun things in life. Tip 2 - CLEAR YOUR WALKWAYS... Objects and clutter can prevent you from moving through your walkways safely. Loose cords keep them up against the wall. Pets can be a tripping hazard - using a collar with a bell will help you know where they are at all times. Furniture shift or remove furniture that narrow walkways Rugs & mats if these are in walking areas make sure the edges arent curled and the backing is nonslip or secured down with double sided tape Pathways if you use a walking aid you might need to widen your pathways to move safely.
