24.01.2022 The Germans are coming.! Small infestation of German cockroaches at a property today. They certainly seem to be coming more prevalent in Tasmania. One of the greatest disease spreading insects in the world. General spray treatments and fogger bombs are extremely ineffective in treating German cockroaches as they dont penetrate the insects harbourages and a specialised, targeted approach is the only way to elimate populations.

22.01.2022 A couple of nice sized House spiders this morning at Oakdowns.

21.01.2022 European Wasp nest tucked under a rose bush. After two stings in the past week I made sure I had all my kit on as the last few nests have been particularly aggressive. If youve ever been stung, you know the feeling!

20.01.2022 Ive had some enquiries lately to spray for bees and would just like to let people know that we do not spray bees or hives unless it is completely impossible to retrieve the Queen or hive. I have contacts who are more than willing to come and extract hives and i am happy to put people in contact with them.

20.01.2022 In areas with low to medium rodent activity 3 months is about as long as you want to go without checking or having your bait stations cleaned out and rebaited. This is 1 bait station out of 8 external. This one station had about 100grams taken and overall there was just over half a kilo taken in 3 months. This has been an average for about 16months. Hygeine is not an issue and there is no clutter or much bush around.... At this time of year it is more about shelter and warmth than anything else. Even Tassie rats and mice dont like the cold. 08.01.2022 This has been an ongoing job for the past 4 weeks. An average 3 bedroom home with insulated walls had become home to ants in their millions over a few years. Definitely one of the best infestations Ive come across.
