23.01.2022 In case you missed the announcement ... The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) welcomes the announcement by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) of an updated Training and Education training package which includes a newly approved Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Cert IV TAE*) which introduces higher standards for trainers and assessors across the vocational education and training (VET) workforce. The newly-endorsed qualification includes an a...dditional core unit on the development of effective assessment tools (Design and develop assessment tools). The additional unit aims to ensure that trainers and assessors have a greater depth of knowledge about good assessment tools and students graduating from VET courses will be more effectively assessed as having the necessary skills and knowledge to do the job. This updates the existing TAE40110 to a brand new qualification TAE40116. At this stage, no RTO's have been approved to deliver the new unit. HaloNT will still offer the old course until the new courses starts to become available. The new course includes the TAELLN411 unit that is currently available through HaloNT, but will also include the new Design unit TAEASS502 (Design and develop assessment tools). HaloNT has updated its existing TAE qualification to include both the new units as electives. This means that your qualification will now include all the core units that comprise the new course. 12.01.2022 #HaloNT is pleased to announce that we are putting together the finishing touches to our new short courses http://training.halont.edu.au/course_details/short_courses/ We are finalising three (3) of the units from our new Certificate II in Hospitality http://training.halont.edu.au/course_details/sit20316.html and Certificate III in Hospitality http://training.halont.edu.au/course_details/sit30616.html. We have our new SITHGAM001 Responsible Service of Gambling, SITHFAB002 Responsible Service of Alcohol and SITHFAB005 Prepare Espresso Coffee. New course times are being loaded onto our bookwhen.com site, and you will be able to book these new courses online over the next few weeks.
03.01.2022 What a massive few weeks. But, after a huge amount of work, HaloNT can advise that we have added qualifications and units to our scope bringing our totals up to 15 qualifications - including Cert II in Hospitality, Cert III in Hospitality, Cert III's in Scaffolding, Rigging and Dogging, Cert III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations, Cert IV in Civil Construction (Supervision), Cert IV in Leadership & Management, and Cert II and III in Creative Events and Theatrical Product...ion. We also have a Cert III in Telecommunications Technology and Cert III in Trenchless Technology available for our Partners. We also have Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business on offer. This has taken our total number of units available for core and electives from around 70 to 784 (and eleven-fold increase!). We now also have more than 45 Skillsets available across theatre, hospitality, construction and mining.
