20.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING ORARC ANNUAL FIELD DAYS. It is with regret that I have to announce the cancellation of the Oxley Region Amateur Radio Club Inc. 2020 Field Day which was to be held on Saturday and Sunday the 6th and 7th of June 2020 during the Queens Birthday holiday weekend. The Field Day Dinner set down for Saturday the 6th of June 2020 is also cancelled.... Once the NSW 90 day isolation announcement was made the ORARC Committee had no choice but to cancel this year’s Field Day. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience to those who had already made arrangements for the 2020 Field Day. On a positive note, next year will be the club’s 50 anniversary so the Club will concentrate on making the 2021 Field Day one to be remembered. Next years Field Days will be held at the Wauchope Showground Hall on Saturday and Sunday the 12th and 13th of June 2021. Caravans, camper vans and mobile homes can camp at the Showgrounds, but booking is essential as it is a busy venue. 10.01.2022 With great sadness, we advise that the 2020 SPARC Rosebud RadioFest, scheduled for Sunday, November 15th 2020, has been cancelled. SPARC Committee members have discussed the matter most diligently, considered all issues and effects, and make this decision in the best interests of all concerned. They believe that, in these uncertain times, the health and well-being of all parties is of paramount importance. SPARC members thank all who support our wonderful RadioFest, and are now focused on presenting a fantastic show in 2021. Thank you, one and all.

04.01.2022 As shown in the Events schedules of Hamfests Australasia Group.

03.01.2022 Inter-club co-operation is one of the keys to a successful Hamfest. Many hands make light work, and your promotional efforts become magnified when other clubs come on board to help. As an example, SPARC has been fortunate over the last 10 years, to have been assisted by EMDRC, FAMPARC, GGREC, Moorabbin and District, BAREC, Adelaide Hills ARC and many other clubs. From providing advice, to manning tables, to presenting forums, donating prizes and having members travel down to attend the actual show, the Rosebud RadioFest is all the richer for such wonderful efforts and gestures. If your club is planning a Hamfest, don't overlook this most important factor.
