22.01.2022 News from the 2018 AGM There will be 8 teams in this season's competition with teams from Byaduk, Casterton, College, Grampians, Macarthur, Pigeon Ponds, Tarrington and for the first time in 15 years we welcome back St Andrews! The season will begin on Friday 15 October and run through to Friday December 7 when we will have the usual Xmas/New Year break. It will resume on Friday 1st February with the Finals weekend happening March 1st and 3rd, 2019.... There are 4 teams in each of the U/16's and U/13's but more teams can be added to ALL COMPETITIONS. The Juniors will begin on Wednesday 15 October and run until Wednesday 3 December 2018. In other news, the No Balls and Wides will only count for a single run and not the 2 runs it has been since the inception of the HDWCA. Affiliation fees remain unchanged for the Seniors while the Juniors rise to $50/team. The HDWCA will again purchase the balls for the Seniors, the U/16's and the U/12's competitions and on sell these to the clubs at cost price but the clubs need to supply the match balls for the U/13's (clubs should have plenty from last season). The Committee was returned unopposed.

02.01.2022 Hi Ladies, Welcome to 2018 and the restart of our season. What a huge weekend we have coming up with the first home and away round of matches for the New Year happening on Friday Feb 2. Please check My Cricket for where your team is drawn to play. Saturday Feb 3 is going to go off!!! Firstly at 10.30am we have the very first representative match between the HDWCA U17 team and the WDCA U17 team happening at Melville Oval in a T20 match.... Followed by the Premier League match between Essendon Maribyrnong Park and Dandenong in a T20 match for Premiership Points starting at 3.00pm. The exciting news is that four of our local stars will be making their Premier League debuts in this match with Jess Field, Claire Nolte and Alyssa Nolte playing for EMP while Eliza Jagger will don the uniform of Dandenong. There is a full bar and a BBQ available all day starting at 12.30pm and admission is FREE for all. So come down and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the HDWCA and you might just catch up with a former teammate or opponent from past years. See more

02.01.2022 Hi Ladies (and all supporters), It's been a long winter but we are back! The 2019/20 season begins on Friday 11th October, 2019 with a skills/come and try session at Melville Oval from 6.00pm to 8.00pm that will cover all aspects of the game. All teams are to attend this session as we are having some very special guests attending (more on that soon).... The Cricket Victoria Regional manager, Tony Caccaviello, and his team will take every player in the HDWCA and those that are thinking of playing through four different stations that will cover batting, bowling, fielding and wicket keeping. They will teach you drills that you can take back to your club training sessions to improve all aspects of your game and make you better players. Then the home and away summer starts on October 18, 2019 with nine (9) teams nominated this season. The draw will run through to December 13, 2019 before we break for Xmas and resume on Jan 31, 2020 for the run into the finals on the weekend of March 13 and 15, 2020. With the increase in the number of teams it means you wont play each other twice but the Draw Master is putting together a fixture that is fair to all teams. Of course team nominations are still open until the end of August and we want as many women/girls playing the greatest game on the planet as we can. Remember that as we enter our 23rd year, the HDWCA is the largest and longest running women's competition outside of Melbourne Premier Cricket and all women are welcome. more soon ....
