19.01.2022 Some important tips from World Health Organization (WHO) on how to wear a mask safely.

18.01.2022 Dear patients. When making an appointment and you are unwell with flu/cold like symptoms PLEASE tell the reception staff. They will give you instructions of how to visit the clinic. Please be HONEST so as to not upset other patients and staff. We need our doctors and staff to run the clinic for all patients and if someone comes in and says nothing and then for us to find out that they are infected, then we all lose our treating doctors and staff for 14 days. This will cause so many problems for patients that are in genuine need to see a Doctor. By being honest we can all work together and help protect ourselves and others.

18.01.2022 HOTDOC BOOKING HAS ARRIVED. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE APP

16.01.2022 WDHS drive-thru Coronavirus testing Hamilton Base Hospital (access via Foster St) Open Monday to Friday 1pm to 3pm The WDHS drive-thru Coronavirus (COVID19) te...sting station has been set up to quickly, safely and conveniently test people for the virus. Initially it is open between 1pm and 3pm Monday to Friday, however, as the situation evolves, drive-thru clinic hours may change. For the latest clinic information, please visit www.wdhs.net As directed by the Department of Health and Human Services, people must meet strict COVID19 case definition criteria before drive thru testing will be carried out What to expect You can be referred by your local GP, but the drive-thru testing station also takes direct presentations You must remain in your vehicle A clinician will ask you the following questions: o Do you have COVID19 symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath? o Have you travelled overseas in the previous 14 days? o Have you been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID19? o Are you a healthcare worker? If you meet the testing criteria you will be swabbed by a WDHS Nurse The swab will then be sent to pathology for testing As pathology results may take 3-5 days, those who meet the testing criteria will be asked to isolate themselves at home until they receive their results You will be notified of your results by a staff member from the Infection Prevention and Control Department as soon as they are available Due to the difficulties of obtaining swabs from younger children, drive through testing will only be available for children over the age of nine years. 08.01.2022 If you see me wearing a mask in public and in the stores, I want you to know that... I'm educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give y...ou the virus. No, I don't "live in fear" of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem. I don't feel like the "government controls me". I feel like I'm an adult contributing to security in our society and I want to teach others the same. If we could all live with the consideration of others in mind, the whole world would be a much better place. Wearing a mask doesn't make me weak, scared, stupid or even "controlled". It makes me caring. When you think about your appearance, discomfort, or other people's opinion of you, imagine a loved one - a child, father, mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even a stranger - placed on a ventilator, alone without you or any family member who is allowed at his bedside. Ask yourself if you could have helped them a little while wearing a mask. Copied and posted. Will you do the same? Be safe people
