24.01.2022 COVID-19 Update Unfortunately, with the change in lockdown, table tennis will again be a restricted activity beginning 11:59pm on the 5th of August. During this 6 week lockdown, our facility will be closed and play will not be possible. Training will take part tomorrow night (7-8pm) as well as keenagers in the morning, as the last before the closure. Keep in mind that masks will be required for travel to and from the stadium (for those over 12 years) but can be removed dur...ing play as this counts as strenuous exercise. If you are interested in training tomorrow night, please confirm attendance at 0498133822. We thank everyone for your patience during this trying time, please stay safe and hopefully, we can return safely at a later date :(

23.01.2022 MEDALS GALORE FOR THE AUSSIE PARA TEAM IN SPAIN Our Aussie Para Team competed at the Costa Brava Para Open in Spain over the last 4 days and have come home with... 3 x Gold medals, 1 x Silver medal and 2 x Bronze medals. Qian Yang was outstanding going through the tournament undefeated in both the Class 9-10 Womens Singles and Teams event. With Melissa Tapper also making the final of the Class 9-10 Womens Singles it ensured a Gold and Silver medal to Australia. Lina Lei (Class 9) also performed well in the Class 9-10 Womens singles defeating two Class 10 athletes in her group stage to go through to the quarter final where she narrowly went down to the No. 5 world ranked class 10 female 11-8 in the fifth. Melissa, Qian and Lina then partnered in the Class 9-10 Womens Teams event to take out the Gold medal. In the mens events, Lin Ma played his best table tennis to win Gold in the Class 9 Mens Singles defeating Joshua Stacey (GBR) in the final 3 1. Lin Ma also won bronze in the Class 9-10 Mens Teams event partnering with Luka Bakic (Montenegro). The pair made it through to the semi-final where they narrowly went down to the No. 1 seeds. Along the way Lin Ma defeated two Class 10 athletes. Sam von Einem won bronze in the Class 11 Mens Singles event. Sam went down in a close semi-final match to Japan’s Takeshi Takemori, but then turned the tables on Takemori in the Class 11 Mens Teams event where he won in five games. Nathan Pellissier who has been training hard in Munich over the last couple of months had two excellent performances in both the Class 8 mens singles event and teams event. Nathan who is currently ranked No. 47 in the world pushed the No.12 world ranked, Thomas Bouvais, to 11-9 in the fifth during the singles group stage. Bouvais then went onto win Gold. Nathan went one better in the Class 8 mens teams event where he defeated the No.11 world ranked, Marc Ledoux, in five games. Special mention to our amazing coaching and support staff who travelled with the team including Alois Rosario (Head Coach), Maggie Meng & Miao Miao (Assistant Coaches) and Ross Pinder (Match Analysis support staff). Congratulations to the entire team on what were outstanding results!!
