17.01.2022 What a wonderful time on stage we had this morning We hosted our first choreography comp which gave our students a chance to develop, create and perform. Normally we would have competed in our local Eisteddfod in June but obviously due to COVID it was cancelled. I’m so proud of the passion on stage but even more so with the team work, support and pride side stage for each other Another wonderful HDC Moment

02.01.2022 To all our HDC students, families and followers... I need your voices this week Yesterday dance studios were given the green light to open which was inline with opening with schools just like back at the start of term 3. We were deemed a low risk activity as long as we had a COVID plan in place. The government did a backflip a few hours later and have once again inexplicably categorised us alongside indoor sport. The performing arts is being forgotten. Every child needs a... spark and for some it’s walking into the dance studio but at the moment they can dance at primary or high school but not in their after school program. Dance was my spark and I lived at my studio. It gave me physical exercise but more so it was a creative outlet. This generation is no different and not every child wants to play a contact ball sport. Let’s give all our kids the chance to do what they love no matter what it is For the next 5 days please fill your newsfeed with images or videos of what dance or the performing arts means for you. Maybe your a student, a parent with a dancer, grandparent, ex dancer/performer or maybe just someone who loves the arts Let’s support all our performing art schools #letusdance #saveourdanceschoolsvictoria #danceartsalliance #tobebackinthestudio #hamiltondancecompany
