24.01.2022 Mort & Co has claimed two gold and a bronze at the 2020 Perth Royal Food Awards. In the company’s first tilt at the title, Phoenix Beef brands Master Selection ...(Class 5 - Export Beef) and The Phoenix (Class 3 - Wagyu AUS-Meat marbling score 5+) were crowned champions, while Grandchester (Class 1 - Grain Fed Beef) picked up a bronze medal. What great news to start the week!

Today in the Wagyu Branded Beef Competition, Mort & Co took out a Gold Medal in the Master Selection Fullblood Category! This beast was bred by Hamilton Park Wagyu!! A big thankyou to team at Mort & Co and the AWA for this wonderful prestigious event!... A huge Congratulations to Stone Axe Pastoral for taking out the Grand Champion!

They now have 2,500 breeding females (Fullblood and Purebred) and have focused on fertility... and maternal traits to develop their high performance breeder herd. They have also implemented production feeder capacity to feed 2,000 head onsite, enabling drought-proof production feeding for optimal gains prior to feedlot entry. 01.01.2022 Hamilton Park Wagyu is requiring a Self Motivated, Honest, Reliable Irrigation Manager for our South Burnett farms. The person responsible for this position will manage the annual fodder production for HPW. The person will need to have current experience in all facets of irrigation . Operational & Mechinical knowledge necessary for farm machinery. Eg. spraying, planting, fertilising , operational experience of centre pivots and lateral irrigation. Also experience with GPS ...navigation would be needed. Would need to be able to work with HPW Management team also with Local contractors and Consulting Agronomist. Future requirements will include Stock Feeding Duties . License for HC/MC would be an advantage. This position requires someone who is able to cope with the high intensity of cropping time frames and be able to work unsupervised. Accomodation provided . References required. 01.01.2022 It’s been a successful and busy few months at HPW!! We’ve had the first two lots of Embryo calves born from our two programs late last year, with the third about to hit the ground.. A big thankyou to the team at IGT for completing our Embryo Work. We are extremely pleased with the results!! ... We have also just begun another round of embryo programs for 2020. With the first lot of embryos being implanted yesterday into our recip cows. Genetics from Australia’s leading indexing Sires have been selected to increase the diversity and value of our Wagyu herd.
