25.01.2022 Thanks for Wendy from RACQ LifeFlight speaking to us tonight. What a great organisation saving Queensland lives. Very inspiring.

24.01.2022 in support of aunties & uncles.

24.01.2022 Great night out at Hamilton the Italian Plate. We like having a a good night out.

24.01.2022 It was another exciting meeting last night with the induction of two new Rotarians and the welcoming of two long time Rotarians transferring from another Club. PDG Wendy Protheroe was on hand to induct Liam Bray and Jennifer Slatter into the Rotary family. And coming over from the Albion Rotary Club were Merrill and Graeme Rylance. We also welcomed visiting Rotarian Barry Howe from the RC of Ginninderra in the ACT, which is not only Frank's old Club but the pioneering Club of an amazing Youth Programme, the National Youth Science Forum. With four new members, and a couple more waiting in the wings, we look forward to serving the community even more as we enter a new Rotary Year!

22.01.2022 With Covid restrictions easing, it's time for Rotarians to roll up our sleeves again. This morning it was down at Donations in Kind (DiK) in Woodridge. After more than 2 months untouched, the yard was in need of a bit of TLC and maintenance before they are ready to load containers again bound for our pacific neighbours. It was great to catch up with fellow members for the first time in a while!

20.01.2022 Rotary Club Hamilton and Rotary of Nundah joint changeover night is going well.

19.01.2022 Well done, Team.

19.01.2022 Another awesome meeting last night, where , as well as enjoying a nice meal and good fellowship, we received a presentation from visiting Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Balmoral, Brian Humphry. Brian recently repatriated from Cambodia, where he lived for several years working with several NGOs in relation to their programs, particularly relating to issues with woman and children. We all learned a lot about this land rich in culture and history, but so terribly affected by the events of the Vietnam war and the Khmer Rouge. Thanks again to Brian for the presentation.

19.01.2022 Last night we were proud to present our Annual Pride of Workmanship Awards. The Award was established by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills in 1975 to encourage recognition of employees and small businesses who show dedication to their work and go the extra mile for their customers and the community. There are now more than 600 clubs who present such awards around the world. We were honoured to be able to present the first award to the team at Studio Pilates. They have been rec...ognised for not only their dedication to health and fitness for their clients and providing an enjoyable space to work out, but also for being heavily involved in giving back to the community through various charities. Thank you to Sarah and Lianne from Studio Pilates for coming along to accept the award, and for telling us a bit more about the business. Our other award goes to Alan Bull and his team at Nudgee Road Landscape Supplies. Alan has been operating for more than 40 years serving the Brisbane Northside community. Unfortunately Alan was unable to attend last night, but we hope to pop our to see him soon to present his ward. Again, well done to the recipients!

19.01.2022 Here are more photos of the Citizenship Ceremony.

13.01.2022 Brisbane Cluster of Rotary District 9600 R100 Baton relay started with a big Gala on 13 Feb and finished last night at Rotary club of New Farm R100 and Pride of Workmanship Dinner. 11.01.2022 Vale past Rotary International President Sir Clem Renouf. Without him, we would not have been able to imagine a Polio-free world.

09.01.2022 President Hugh and President Elect Peter co-hosted our Christmas party. All the members enjoyed the night. We also gave thanks to Royal Queensland Golf Club staff for their support to our club. Part of the donation tonight will go to the drought-affected farmers. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. ... See you in 2020! See more

08.01.2022 Our second meeting back at Royal Queensland post Covid saw a more low key changeover night than usual - but it was still full of fellowship and was an opportunity to acknowledge our outgoing board and welcome the incoming. President Hugh Springer has served us well as President and we wish incoming President Peter McPhee all the best in his role. It was also an opportunity to award three Paul Harris Fellows - one of the highest honours in Rotary, to PDG John Leddy and to two... family members of club members - David Springer and Nicole McPhee. It is a reminder of the hard work, sacrifice and support put in by our families to ensure a successful Rotary Club. The Rotary international Theme for 2020-21 is "Rotary Opens Opportunities". We look forward to doing so over the next 12 months.

06.01.2022 It was a beautiful day out at Donations in Kind yesterday, where Club members joined our friends from other Clubs to load this massive 40ft shipping container with educational supplies bound for PNG. You can see President Hugh in there, leading by example! We are fortunate that DiK https://rawcs.org.au/donations-in-kind-2/, a program of RAWCS: https://rawcs.org.au/ has found a new home in Kingston for the next couple of year at least. It is a true Rotary success story, millions of dollars of goods, much of it otherwise going to landfill, has been packed and shipped to many developing nations in our region, all from the donations and volunteer hours of Rotarians (and a bit of fresh air and exercise as well!).

05.01.2022 Rotary Club of Nundah President Terry Ryan.

05.01.2022 After another successful Citizenship Ceremony, we enjoyed an afternoon at Ascot Park running the BBQ for the local Australia Day celebrations. Thanks to Cr David McLachlan and Tim Nicholls MP for giving us the opportunity to serve the local community. As you can see, the snags were given the official thumbs up from President Hugh.

05.01.2022 Hi All, After the Citizenship Ceremony at Hamilton Town Hall on Sudnay morning, we will be serving up the snags at the Australia Day BBQ at Ascot Park. We look forward to seeing you there!

05.01.2022 This week we presented our Annual Ivan Holm Award. Named after the former Club member and Principal at Skillstech at Eagle Farm, the award acknowledges an apprentice who deserves recognition through their hard work and attitude towards their studies. This year we presented the award to 4th year electrical apprentice Lachlan Moar, who we appreciate attending to accept the award along with his wife Amber and daughter Pippa. Also in attendance was Lachlan's teacher Mick Jordan ...and to present the award we again welcomed Ivan's son Peter, who gave us an entertaining presentation on the man known to many as "the Skipper". Thank you to all who attended. We have worked with Skillstech Eagle Farm for more than 50 years supporting apprentices and we hope to continue this well into the future!

03.01.2022 Rotarians hard at work. Remember how hot is was on Saturday? Well, it was even hotter inside those shipping containers, as Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends of Rotary got together at Donations in Kind to load containers of medical and educational supplies donated by hospitals, schools and the public. This one is bound for Rabaul in the PNG islands. It was a pleasure to meet the Papua New Guineans volunteering on the day as well.

02.01.2022 Einbunpin Festival is fantastic. Rotary Club of Nundah, Rotary club of Airport and Rotary club of Hamilton are cooking BBQ for charities. Come and enjoy sausages and support #Rotary.
