24.01.2022 Sports Shear Tasmania play an important role in the running of our annual show Shearing & Wool Handling competition. They have their AGM coming up on 9th August where they’ll need to fill some key positions in their committee, including that of President as sadly Fran will not be continuing her role. The Hamilton Show Committee would like to say a huge thanks to Fran for doing such a great job, in strengthening the relationship between Sports Shear Tas and the Hamilton Show.

18.01.2022 Do you love taking photos? It’s time to get your photo entries ready for show day, which is this Saturday 7th March. There are classes for adults and children to enter. Photos may be any size, and should be mounted on cardboard with your name, contact details and class printed on the back. Entries will be accepted from Thursday March 5th and must be submitted ready to be displayed and judged by 9am Saturday morning. Pick-up points include the Central Highlands Community Health Centre, your local shop or pub, Ptunurra in New Norfolk, Glenorchy and Hobart. Im after as many volunteers as possible to put their hand up to help with the set up and dismantling of the Hamilton... shearing and wool handling marquee and shearing stand prior to the event (?Thursday) & following the event on the Sunday. Exhibitor and competitor vehicles should be removed from the ground space area by 9am on show day unless they display a special car pass provided by the Show Society. Your co-operation in this matter not only assists the Show Committee to allow for movement of emergency vehicles and safety with stock trucks, but also helps to create a more pleasant environment for patrons.
