25.01.2022 This week we not only celebrated Father's Day but all the positive male influences in our lives. The children created lots of fantastic artwork which was either on display in our room or was taken home as presents. Next week (week 8) is "sea week''.

22.01.2022 Plenty to do around OOSH today! While colouring in and sandpit are staples of a great day play, we also got a chance to play with our "Future Garden", Bat Sheva made some Valentines Hearts and Kerrie continued with her cheerleading sessions!

22.01.2022 Newsletter for Week 3, Term 1, 2016 This week we are learning about Valentine’s Day as a way of celebrating friendship. We are spreading the message that we appreciate the way that our friends and family care for us and choose to spend their time with us. A clarification on our booking system:... Permanent bookings are those made in advance and are usually reoccurring. They require 2 weeks notice in writing (email is fine) for any cancellations otherwise those charges will still appear on your invoice. Casual bookings are usually one-offs or scattered dates and require 24 hours notice for cancellation. If your children are booked in for a casual afternoon and they do not arrive at OOSH or you have not given 24 notice, this charge will still appear on your invoice. A casual visit is $2 extra for the afternoon. I hope this clears things up. Cheers, Beau

20.01.2022 Kerrie brought in some cheerleading costumes and DVDs and we practiced our moves all afternoon! Meanwhile our imaginations were the key to fun with the dolls and trucks and we found the perfect wall to practice our tennis skills!

16.01.2022 This morning we got to see a mechanical bat flying around the playground (look carefully for it in the bottom picture!). Meanwhile, this afternoon Kerrie worked with a mix of natural materials and other pieces to make totems, a way of representing ourselves and the things that are important to us. Pru played in the drama area, helping us with some gymnastics and some relaxing colouring in in the shade.

14.01.2022 This week was Friendship Week at Hamilton South OOSH! The children had great fun making different crafts for the friendship wall and spray painting their hands to symbolise friendship around the world.

07.01.2022 Last week at OOSH the theme of the week was the Olympics. Some of the events were wheelbarrow racing, the most cart wheels, 4 on 4 soccer and the children also took part in their own version of the Olympic games and also created some Olympic craft. Here are some pictures of the children's craft and Olympic activities.

07.01.2022 Last week at OOSH was a lot of fun with many smiles and laughter. Last week was a free week where the children chose what they would like to do. Take a look at these photo's of the children having a great time.

07.01.2022 Week 8 at OOSH was all about the ocean as our theme for the week was the sea. During the week we created some amazing art work. We made jelly fish, fish using the iron-on beads and coloured some wonderful pictures. We also created our very own under water scene. Our theme for week 9 is all about the season of Spring.

06.01.2022 Yesterday was a huge day! While some of the kids ran a game of soccer by themselves, Chris helped referee some wrestling and Shilo made some colourful love hearts to celebrate Valentine's Day!

04.01.2022 Hi everyone, to help promote a healthy lifestyle here at Hamilton South OOSH we have a new afternoon tea menu beginning in term 4. I've attached a copy of the menu for you to look through. As always, we will still continue to provide alternatives for those children who have special dietary requirements. We plan to change the menu each term and would appreciate your feedback or suggestions in planning our future menus.

04.01.2022 It was another great week here at OOSH. Our theme for the week was the season of Spring. We created butterflies, flowers, bees, ladybugs and plants. Chloe H, Asha S and Madi M found lots of gum nuts on the ground and had the idea to turn them into a wind chime. Just a reminder, the weather is beginning to warm up and from term 4 all children will need to wear their hats when playing outside.

01.01.2022 Last week at OOSH was Science Week. Science Week had many great moments. Some of the experiments/activities were lava lamps, balloon experiments, volcanoes, play dough making, boats powered by soap and science craft. Here are some pictures of the children being wacky scientists.
