25.01.2022 Recreational Activity Officers, volunteers and staff had a great time pulling together a Country Fair for residents of The Hammond Village, including HammondGrove ILUs today. Some of the highlights were listening to country and western singers, patting and feeding farmyard animals, enjoying a tasty lunch and lots of fun in the sunshine. Thanks to the organisers, volunteers and everyone who joined in to make it such a great day!!

25.01.2022 A highlight of Volunteers Week was the launch of a project in Hammondville which will see volunteers involved in a new project to help older people retain and improve hand strength and movement. It's a great example of cooperation between our hospitals, aged care and volunteers!

Interviewing staff member Karen Jacobs, she talked about the student-run market garden at the school. Karen says they've received help from the HammondCare nursing home. Great community connection!! 02.01.2022 Keith Morgan, HammondCare's Head of Residential Care SW Sydney, and carer Dorothy Baxter were on hand to receive a $10,310 cheque through a community grants scheme recently. The money is for our carers' project, Building Friendship and Support in Difficult Times: Carers Support. The money will assist a range of speical outings that will provide carers with a chance to relax, socialise and enjoy new experiences.
