21.01.2022 To help our athletes get the most they possibly can out of their training, regular performance testing is key to help us calibrate and customise every individual's training. Testing alone, however, is not enough, it's what you do after you collect the data that is vital; analysing, goal setting and intervention are the real heroes of an athletic combine because it's these crucial stages where athletes get better. We offer different testing batteries for every sport based ...on the unique movement patterns, energy systems used along with data on elite standards, common combine tests and injury trends/risk factors within each sport. #sport #trainer #testing #training #trackandfield #workout #sportsperformance #athleticdevelopment #agilitytraining #speed #power #strengthandconditioning #strength #motivation #inspiration #gym #fitness

19.01.2022 The truth is there are a whole host of factors why people do not make a lot of progress in the gym with their physique and sports performance goals. Here are some of the top reasons why people are not making progress. This is certainly not an exhaustive list but should provide commonality. . If you dig deeper you’ll find the reasons you’re not making progress or more often with the small (yet significant) things vs. one specific area. However, when it comes to training and n...utrition: one thing always affects another. . Have you been affected by any of these factors? 14.01.2022 Water is the most prevalent molecule in your entire body. It comprises about 60% of your total body weight and every physiological system requires water. For example... Water is a vital part of your body’s detoxification systems. Water is used to digest food and shuttle nutrients into your cells. Water is needed to keep your ears, nose, and throat moist. Water keeps our joint cartilage lubricated and supple, which is vital for preserving joint health. Brain cells require a delicate balance of water and other chemicals to function properly. Thus, it’s no surprise that hydration status affects many aspects of our health and physical and mental performance. Dehydrationa condition where water levels in the body are too low due it inadequate intakecan slow you down both mentally and physically, depress your mood, constipate you, and may even increase the risk of heart disease. Dehydration is also tricky because it’s easy to ascribe the symptoms to other things. You can go crazy trying to figure out what’s wrong without realizing it all stems from simply not drinking enough water. #water #nutrition #motivation #inspiration #lifestyle #athlete #sportperformance #training #workout #fitness #sports

09.01.2022 The core muscles link the upper body and lower body . Like any machine, if a link in the chain is broken , performance will suffer - and the body is no different. Anti extension = Any exercise where the purpose is to resist extension at the spine . This is what we can consider to be the primary role of the muscles of the anterior core ... The ability to develop the anterior core muscles to prevent extension of the lumbar spine may be the most important and most critical part of core training. I would also argue that this should also be the place where we all start our core training. Anti-extension core exercise will and can help with not only preventing extension of the lumbar spine, but also helping improve anterior pelvic tilt and lower crossed syndrome. As you can see, anti-extension core work will go a long way in keeping both athletes and general population clients healthy and moving well.
