25.01.2022 Hi all, with the COVID outbreak in Colac right on our doorstep we have an update for all of our valued clients. Whilst our front door will be locked we are still open. Farm Animal services will remain as per normal but with our vets working from home. For farm animal medications please ring prior to coming in and we will get them ready and put outside for you to pick up. For our valued small animal clients we will be treating emergencies only. That means that procedures like ...vaccinations and desexings will be postponed for the next couple of weeks and we will re-asses after this. If you have any questions please contact the office and we will work with you to ensure the health and wellbeing of your pet. We remain open and able to care for your animals, but our main priority is to minimise human to human contact for everyone's safety. Please follow the 3 steps listed below if bringing your pet into the clinic: 1. Please ring ahead for appointments. We can then discuss the best way to examine your pet. Although we are open, the front door will be closed to the public so we can best manage the flow of people into and out of the Clinic. 2. Only one person to bring the animal to the Clinic. 3. When you arrive at the clinic please phone the clinic and let us know you have arrived. We will then work out the best way to perform the examination. By following these steps we can treat your pet in the safest way for all. Thanks The HVC team

25.01.2022 Hi all, Just updating everyone with regards to our treatment of of your pets. As mentioned yesterday the door is locked, but please contact the clinic if you have any concerns about your pet, this includes things like - your pet is of it’s food, has been in a fight, has a sore leg or is generally unwell. Our nurses and vets are able to talk and even do consultations over the phone and organise any required treatments.... We are happy to talk about any concerns you have with your pet at anytime and we can determine if treatment is required or your pet needs to be seen. We welcome all questions and queries. Thanks The HVC team

24.01.2022 Hi to all our valued clients and patients. We have now resumed normal service for all your pets needs. Whilst we still have some precautions in place we are back in full swing. Thank you for your understanding in these strange times - here’s hoping we are getting on top of COVID-19.

24.01.2022 Hi all, This is a message for all of our farm animals clients. Any questions please contact the clinic. To all our valued Farm Clients, With all that is going on with Covid-19 we are all facing new challenges over the next few months.... At HVC we are committed to servicing our farm clients to help ensure the food supply chain continues. As such we will be implementing a changes to try and minimise the spread of infection and ensure that both our staff and our clients have minimal risk in line with recommendations from the government. It is unknown how we will be affected in terms of staffing levels, but please be patient with us as we may need to modify bookings or even postpone non-urgent calls. We will stay in communication with you about any changes to calls and help in any way we can. Currently we have our farm animal vets still working on the road but not coming into the clinic to limit the amount of contact between staff and to minimise the chance of any of us spreading the disease. Farm Animal Medications: Firstly, the supply for farm animal medications is plentiful so no need to worry. Secondly, if you require any medicines please contact the clinic prior to coming to collect. The staff will talk to you and arrange the safest way to pick up the required medicines, be that from the clinic or delivered to your farm. Farm Animal Consultations For any work on farm please call us, we will still be doing our job, just doing it at a safe distance and in line with the best medical recommendations. This is a new situation for all, and the situation is constantly changing. We will continue to operate according to the recommendations and appreciate the understanding from all our clients. As the situation changes, we will update our protocols. Please feel free to call us anytime if you have any concerns or would like more clarification of this letter. The HVC team
