25.01.2022 Type matching door knobs for a heritage project... so far this is the closest (as long as it comes in brass as per brochure LOL).
25.01.2022 I had several DA's in council assessment stage, lodged before the world changed and one lodged this week (via digital means).... let's hope this announcement gives them all a nudge! https://www.planning.nsw.gov.au//Jobs-boost-through-fast-t
25.01.2022 Rainy day tiling... today its the en-suite. Check out the precision mitre in the last image.
24.01.2022 Kitchen taking shape in this great project in Coogee! Now it’s getting exciting.
23.01.2022 Sitting at my desk pondering best LED profiles for five different rooms on a current project. The 90 angle diffuser is going to be good for the wardrobe area because you get horizontal as well as vertical illumination so you see the whole garment. Now for the kitchen, home office, laundry and the rest!
22.01.2022 Sanding this Aussie Spotted Gum deck by hand. Mechanical sanding would cause circular markings, which would destroy the look of this beautiful timber.
21.01.2022 I think there’s something in the wind! This week, I’ve had three urban-based client requests to talk about rear lane studios. Of course, this type of development can come in all manner of shape, size and look but they pretty much all have garage below, studio on top - sometimes tiny! Here are two of our recent projects that are different interpretations of the same principle (the colour similarity is just a quirk of heritage planning!). Call for an informal chat to talk possibilities! (Location: Sydney East and Sydney South). Annaleisa Hampshire 0416095759, or email [email protected]
20.01.2022 Sydney of yesteryear! This style of post-war architecture was a major star of the Australian home construction recovery during the 40s and 50s and even persisted into the 60s. Not everyones cup of tea these days but to me: neat, humble, and homely. A bit of an unsung hero really and ready to be renovated with love. Im looking forward to enhancing this little beauty to better suit the modern family of 2020.

17.01.2022 Well, we've all been working hard as a community in transitioning to business by virtual means. However, there is one part of the design process that is still essential to be done by a human in person - the site measure. At my lovely client's request, the family cleared out and I went in with gloves and mask for an abbreviated visit. I didn't touch a thing while I was there except my own tape measure! Not entirely sure this is a look I will learn to love...

16.01.2022 A great initiative, thanks for sharing.
16.01.2022 OK battens laid and preparations have been finalised for laying the floor, might need to move the buckets of paint
16.01.2022 An important read for all involved in the design and building industry
15.01.2022 Love the morning sunshine on my front porch @weathertexaus @weathergroove
15.01.2022 Boxes and boxes of beautiful European Oak flooring arrived on site. Cant wait to see it installed this week.
14.01.2022 Woohoo! The Design and Building Practitioners Bill 2019 passes the N.S.W. Parliament overnight, after major input from the Building Designers Association of Australia. Once the compliance period begins (not totally clear on when) only designers registered with the statutory body will be permitted to submit plans for approval in NSW. A great step towards a more robust, professional and accountable building and design industry. #architecture #design #buildingdesign
13.01.2022 This is an interesting real time experiment that ended yesterday. Look forward to seeing the stats.
12.01.2022 Bless this builder ... and Dove, no less.

10.01.2022 May not look super glamorous at this stage, but this servery window opening into the pool terrace is going to be the star of the kitchen!
09.01.2022 Love the stories!
08.01.2022 Happy Thursday People. Welcome to an evolving world of mayhem! What better time to consider home improvement than when you have those four walls staring back at you? After three successful Skype sessions with renovators this week, Im convinced this next period of time will not be wasted. So this weekend, take the time to love and appreciate the home thats bought you joy, sadness, tears and laughter. But maybe also consider where it could serve you better. If you seize the day, youll get started on planning a smart renovation with a thoughtful design so that when we all come up for air, youre approved and ready to start building. Remember, most DAs have a shelf-life of 5 years LOL . Annaleisa Hampshire 0416095759, or email [email protected] (Location: Sydney East and Sydney South).
08.01.2022 An early design sketch alongside a progress shot of this beautiful heritage character home. Its really taking shape!
07.01.2022 The brand new ceiling to match original heritage design in the living room of this project. Looking forward to seeing the final look complete with light fixture!

07.01.2022 WARNING: For those of a modest disposition, look away now!

05.01.2022 First day on the job, and the builder has already safely covered all the beautiful boards Looking forward to see this tiny terrace maximise its potential!
05.01.2022 Grateful to still be Covid-free and enjoying this new way of working with clients virtual whiteboard, FaceTime (or Zoom) and lodging plans by digital means. Its more than muddling through, its actually lots of laughs with great families in the spirit of collaboration in these very strange times.

03.01.2022 Even an old cat enjoys a new renovation
02.01.2022 Tiling update... were nearly there. Look forward to seeing these babies in the shower (the tiles not the tilers!)
01.01.2022 Current client considering a purified water tap in the butlers sink. I love this one...

01.01.2022 Almost there with lodging this DA (by remote means) with Randwick Council for an attic extension to a tiny terrace. A slightly Parisienne flavour... I remember living in something exactly like this in Paris during the late 1990s - although the plumbing was more like from the 1890s
01.01.2022 Lots of progress being made at fix-out stage.
