17.01.2022 Hi everyone. Due to the changing rules associated with the current lock-down we will meet on Sunday but in restricted numbers. As of midnight on Saturday night the lock-down will revert to the restrictions that were in place earlier in the week. We will meet on Sunday at 10am but we will have restrictions. 37 people allowed in the chapel and 25 in the hall. Wear a mask if you can and perhaps don't shake hands. Stay home if unwell or feeling vulnerable. We will not sing and there is no morning tea this week. We will have communion. Thanks for your patience. Pray for those who are struggling with Covid and those who are still in isolation. God bless.

16.01.2022 Christmas in the Community 2020 Event on Saturday the 19th of December at the Hampstead Gardens Church of Christ. We believe Christmas is about Giving! We celebrate the greatest gift of all when God sent His Son Jesus as a baby on the first Christmas. 2020 is coming to a close and for some this year has been harder than most.... We would love you to join us in helping struggling families and individuals this Christmas with a donation of Non Perishable Food items. Through our Care Works program this food will be distributed to those who need it most. Our usual Community Christmas Carols event will be a little different this year, on Saturday 19th December between 4pm & 7pm we will be out the front of the Church to receive your gifts, listen to some Christmas Carols and have a chat. Please join in with your community and bless those less fortunate with a gift!

12.01.2022 How privileged we were today to have Scott Eames speak to us today at our Tuesday Lunch. Scott is a sculptor and is producing a life size Bronze sculpture of Queen Adelaide that will be put in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Ken has purchased one of the Marquette’s that are for sale to fund the project. There is a limit of just 50. If you are interested see Ken. They stand a bit over 30cm and are on a marble base. It was fascinating hearing from Scott. He loves his work and has... studied Queen Adelaide so that he could accurately produce a sculpture that represents her character. For example, Scott wanted the sculpture to be displayed at ground level so that people could stand next to the statue for photos and hold her hand because she was a Queen for the people. What a special day we have enjoyed. Thanks to Ken for organising the day and for all those who prepared our lunch.

09.01.2022 Preventable diseases like diarrhoea and cholera are common where there are not proper facilities. Without sanitary toilets, or enough education about sanitation..., disease can spread quickly. A recent survey by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) indicated that less than 60% of people properly wash their hands after going to the toilet. This isn’t due to a lack of cleanliness. People just don't have access to running water, soap or sanitiser. In Bangladesh there is a critical need for toilets. You can help GMP provide these by donating to our Mid Year Appeal this year. To give your tax deductible donation by June 30 visit www.gmp.org.au/change #MidYearAppeal2020 #WASH #YouCanMakeADifference #GlobalMissionPartners
