25.01.2022 What a win for the Sunday Eleven going off at Boss James!

23.01.2022 Compliant Helmets from 2020-21 Cricket Australia have announced that all helmets used from this season must comply with the relevant British Standards. Without complicating things too much, if your helmet has an adjustable grill it DOESN’T meet the applicable standard. To make the purchase of your new helmet a little easier, Cricket Victoria has set-up a club helmet store, where you will be able to purchase from the full range of Masuri helmets, with the Hampton logo on them. They are cheaper than you’d find in a normal retail outlet, and we get a rebate so I recommend you head to the Hampton Helmet Store

16.01.2022 A highlight of the Hampton Cricket Club junior season was the re commencement of girls cricket. Numbers increased from 5 to 40 girls across Junior Blasters, Master Blasters and two under 13 stage 1 girls teams. Thanks to all the girls and parents involved in making this happen. The girls have been a breath of fresh air to the club and show us how sport should be played in a social and fun way, but serious about developing and doing well on field also. Some photos from Presentation night for the girls.

13.01.2022 The Hampton under 13 Stage 1 girls teams played the last match for the season last Wednesday. We entered the season with ambition of starting up one girls team and enabling an increase in girls participation in cricket. Through the hard work of Gav Lewis, Pat Dieter, Rob Huxley, Karen Grimmer and Rod Rae, plus many more, we achieved two teams of girls. To see the development from the first few weeks at training to the last game where the girls played so well was very excitin...g. Hampton cricket club increased girls participation in junior cricket from 5 to 40 girls this season. We will be working hard to grow girl participation and development in the coming years as part of our focus in investing in junior sport. Thanks to the Coaches and TM’s named above plus the girls for giving their best at training and matches each week. Also appreciate the support from Bendigo Bank in providing grants that support girls sport and the banks passion for supporting the community.

12.01.2022 Congrats to Rod Rae who came equal first for the most wickets in the Sunday One Day Division 1.

11.01.2022 Last night 13 of the Hampton CC junior coaches completed level 1 coaching accreditation at Boss James Reserve run by Cricket Victoria. Guy McKenna who is the facilitator was very impressed by the energy and interest our Hampton coaches having in developing the 17 junior teams of boys and girls playing cricket this season.

10.01.2022 2020-21 Seniors update For the 2020/21 season, the intention is to start the season on November 7th, playing one day games. This will allow the integrity of the 14 games season to be maintained. Obviously this is reliant on restrictions being relaxed and some new protocols being followed but given the nature of our sport I’d be confident that cricket will be able to resume when community sport is given the green light. Given this positive step, We have enormous delight in an...nouncing that registrations are now open. Go to our Play Cricket page and sort that out as soon as possible. I also need you to make sure your details are up to date. The easiest way to do this is via the registration portal this is particularly applicable to players who still have their parents’ email and phone numbers on their MyCricket page. We use a number of methods to communicate with our players but most of the official ones will come from me, and I will use your MyCricket contact details. See more

10.01.2022 To commemorate our 2019/20 CSB Championship Division Premiership and to raise some funds for the Club to help relieve the financial impact of a late start to the season, we have partnered with local brew house Bad Shepherd to bring you The Hampton CC Premiership Pale Ale. For $75 you can get some great beer and support your Club at the same time. $10 from every purchase goes direct to us. Order this weekend and we’ll organise local delivery early next week.... When you place your order, you’ll also notice the opportunity to contribute an additional donation towards the Club. There is certainly no obligation here at all but as always, we really appreciate all the support of our members. With plenty of uncertainty around the Club’s ability to raise funds via bar sales this year, we need to think differently and hope you think this is a winner.

09.01.2022 Best of luck to our Sunday Div 1 Side who take on Chelsea at Boss James Reserve today from 12:30. We’d love to see plenty of support down there and the canteen and bar will be a open all afternoon and into the evening. The toss has just been completed and Hampton will bat first
