25.01.2022 Making rainbow cookies

22.01.2022 *Sessional Kindergartens will open as planned for Term 3 on Monday 13th July* We know times are challenging, so at HCK we will be holding a special Rainbow Week from 13-17th July. Rainbows have become a symbol of hope and positivity, so we will be embracing this and planning a range of fun, rainbow themed activities. We invite children to dress in their most colourful, rainbow themed clothes all week (whether at home or on-site). We’d love to see photos, so please share lots... of pictures on Seesaw!

21.01.2022 My little ants decided today to draw in the sun....I joined them and it was very relaxing and I thought...what a great way to practice mindfulness....being in the moment...switch of...just BE....

20.01.2022 When you picture the moment when you are free from social distancing practices and quarantine restrictions, what do you want to do immediately? Do you want to visit a familiar place? Is there a food you want to eat or a smell in nature that you have missed? Are you eager to see friends face-to-face or to hug a family member? Or do you just want the freedom to wander around outside carefree? This is what our children want to do post lockdown The simple things in life are the best!

To All our Teachers A big Thank you to our educators Louise, Andrea L, Rosemary, Jess, Clare, Kate & Andrea J for running a fun online program - we appreciate everything you do The children cannot wait to see you all soon

12.01.2022 As you know, from midnight on Wednesday people in Metropolitan Melbourne will be required to wear a face covering when leaving the house. This will include families dropping and collecting their children from Kinder. Our teachers will wear masks on their way to and from work, but are not required to wear them once they arrive at Kinder. This is because we are able to maintain a safe physical distance from other adults. This may be a new experience for our Kinder kids, so we have plenty of resources on hand to explain this new situation in a child friendly way ...

05.01.2022 What a poignant theme for this year’s National Reconciliation Week, announced long before COVID-19 hit and yet so apt. At Hampton Community Kinder we acknowledge the Boon Wurrung people as the traditional custodians of the land where our beautiful kindergarten stands. We pay respect to the Boon Wurrung Elders past, present and future and extend this respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait people from other communities #NRW2020 #InThisTogether2020
