14.01.2022 MOSAIC is back again this year! With the upheaval of our daily lives caused by the COVID-19 crisis, MOSAIC is more important than ever. This year, MOSAIC will g...ive anyone in WA the opportunity to reconnect, create and share with the WA community through photography. We have lined up a couple of amazing photography workshops in the lead up to Capture Day on Sunday 6 December as well! Stay tuned for more details or check out https://www.propel.org.au/mosaic! There are three photos in the background, the first is a group of girls having a laugh at a picnic, the second is portrait of Patrick Gunasekera and the third is a dog's tail peeking out from a field. These photos are in a pink and blue monochrome colour scheme.

11.01.2022 Meet our Mosaic Workshop Artist: Shades and Colour with Albertina Ncube My name is Albertina Thabisani Ncube. I’m a 21 year old photographer, videographer a...nd creative originally from Zimbabwe based in Perth, Australia. I’m the owner of ATN Photography and Videography but I prefer to be known as a creative. I ventured into this industry because of my passion for storytelling through visual imagery. As a woman of colour, I tend to focus on people of melanin which was influenced by the lack of representation of Black people in Australia. From media to the creative industry, there is rarely any content that highlights people of colour. As a creative, my ambition is to shine a light on what was once dim and provide a platform for people of colour to recognise that we are beautiful and we are one. Albertina will be hosting her first photography workshop Shades and Colour this Sunday 22 November and will be teaching you how to enter your creative element. Learn how to capture the beauty of models of colour, work with natural lighting and tell engaging stories through photography. Find out more here: https://www.propel.org.au/events/mosaic-20-shades-colour ID: Photographer and creative Albertina Thabisani Ncube's portrait. 01.01.2022 Did you know that Henri Matisse discovered art because he got sick? In 1889, he had an attack of appendicitis. He underwent surgery and his recovery was quite l...ong. His mother brought him art supplies during his convalescence. He said he discovered "a kind of paradise". He never stopped creating art after this. He quit his job at a law office and decided to become an artist.
