04.01.2022 My love for flowers in great by my love for Japan is grand so this is just one of the many reasons why we are now called Hanakotoba. Why this name? Hanakotoba is an ancient art form of the secret language of flowers. Ancient Japan created codes and passwords to show meanings through flowers and colours and arranging them accordingly. In a world where grand gestures and subtle acts of appreciation is lost, I think that showing your love for someone through flowers is special. ...We tend to focus on the value not the fact that something so beautiful can make someone’s day. Hanakotoba helps convey messages such as I am in love with you with a bouquet of red roses, which the message is enhanced to its highest form. In Hanakotoba every single flower operates to link powerful messages: from the way they are arranged, even down to the nature of the flowers themselves, which delivers messages that go beyond words. Yes, flowers might die, and they are fragile however their fragility and evanescence mean that a bouquet’s meaning might be ephemeral, but that it should be cherished all the more. Welcome to our new journey starting 2021. See more

03.01.2022 I would like to introduce the face behind the business. My name is Kelsea and I am the owner of Hanakotoba Florals. I have a passion for flowers and anything pretty, my favourite flower is a hellebore they are just so uniquely stunning, they also only bloom in my favourite season winter! My other passion is Japan the culture and country just makes my heart sing, hence the reason behind the name. I have been a florist for 8 years working on many weddings and events before deci...ding to run my own floral business. It has been a whirl wind of a year but I am so excited to be relaunching in 2021!
