25.01.2022 I just wanted to update you all on what the state of play is for Remedial Massage services here in SA. Today's update from the massage industry associations has still not been able to gain clarification one way or the other regarding whether Remedial Massage Therapists can return to work. Until this clarification is achieved, I will remain closed.

09.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: I’m pleased to announce I will be reopening the practice from next Wednesday 13th May! I will be open on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s & alternate Saturdays initially with a maximum of 5 appointments due each day. There will be half hour between appointments to allow extra cleaning time, and to minimise you coming into contact with others.... BOOKING REQUIREMENTS: The following is in place for both your benefit, my family’s and mine: You will need to CANCEL your appointment if: You are unwell for any reason You have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days I know you’re probably desperate for treatment but I really don’t want to see you if you are infectious! At this stage I’m not opening up online bookings so to book please either call, text or email me. Please also note due to my limited availability, I am not taking NEW clients at this time.

06.01.2022 Hello Massage Lovers! Hope you are all well... and haven't killed your partners, children, significant people in your life! Just updating that I am unfortunately still closed, but am optimistic that things may change in the next couple of weeks. ... I have been fairly absent from my page over the past couple of weeks, and for that I apologise. I've been studying, cooking, walking, doing a 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle with Scott and spending time redesigning my garden beds. Although massage is off the cards at the moment, I am still available for nutritional and lifestyle coaching on a 1:1 basis via phone, Skype or FaceTime, so if you're struggling to maintain healthy habits during the 'hibernation', and would like support and guidance, then why not book a 'Healthy Me' holistic health assessment. 06.01.2022 UPDATE: Well massage lovers the information we've all been waiting for clarification on has been delivered! Remedial Massage is SA is back! Now before we jump the gun, I wanted to confirm that I will remain CLOSED for at least the next 2 weeks. WHY?... There are a couple of reasons: I need time to put into place the necessary steps to ensure I can deliver my service to you safely - for both you and me. Despite always having high hygiene standards in my practice (thorough clean down of all surfaces between clients, fresh linen for each client, not working when I am sick, etc), I need to source different cleaning supplies as unfortunately my eco-products are only effective for bacteria and fungi... NOT viruses! And most importantly, I need to feel satisfied that I can work and be OK with visiting my Dad, because unfortunately at this stage I don't. Why is that important? My Dad is immunocompromised at the moment and I do not feel comfortable visiting him if I have been in contact with a whole bunch of you lovely people (no offence!). This last point is making me the most anxious, so please bare with me while I process this. Once services resume I will be opening up for limited days with 5 clients maximum per day. There will be 30min gaps between clients to minimise your contact with others. I won't be opening up the online booking system initially, so you will need to call, text or email for appointments once I announce a start date. In the meantime, stay safe beautiful people!

05.01.2022 I hope you are all safe & well. I am spending my time getting ahead on my final semester theory work & assignments so haven’t been so active here. I have been thinking of you all though! There has been much confusion as to whether remedial massage is considered an essential or non-essential service. Alas there STILL is that confusion here in SA, however the SA government’s COVID-19 FAQ’s document (see below) would indicate that massage is still off the cards for now. I hope to have my ‘parlour’ open again soon!
