25.01.2022 Hi Everyone thought it was time to let you know my experience. I published a 200 page book called The History of Goombungee and District in 2003 which entaile...d 6 years of hands on and electronic research, collating the information into Word and Excel documents, creating the book into a document for publishing, proof reading, editing and finally marketing the book. I received an Australia Day Senior Cultural Award from the Rosalie Shire Council in 2005 as a result. I received my Certificate IV in Business Administration from the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE in Toowoomba in 2008 and a Diploma of Local Government Planning from the Local Government Association of Queensland in Brisbane in 2010. I worked for over 4 years from creating a Newsletter to various administration roles for the then Rosalie Shire Council. After 8 Shires amalgamated into Toowoomba Regional Council in 2008 I continued as an Administration Officer until the end of 2016 in various areas such as building, plumbing and planning. In these areas I filtered phone calls and answered generic questions, completed applications, created documents in word and excel, created procedures, booked inspections, maintained registers and researched and collated information as required. I have assisted a Barrister over the last two years by completing affidavits, binding financial agreements and court orders as required by legislation, creating new documents, searching through documentation for relevant information, organising meetings, liasing between the client and Barrister. This was achieved virtually through the use of Dropbox to store documents for the Barrister’s use. Genealogy has become a lifelong passion of mine. I created my first family tree on a typewriter about 30 years ago. Since then I continue with my research and have created electronically 3 more family tree books with copies of original documentation, photographs, and charts and is always looking for updates. 06.01.2022 Wow have I made some discoveries to help small businesses. I found a free accounting website that allows clients to import your bank statements, categorize your expenses, take a photo of your receipts and attach it to your entry, do reports for your tax agent and create invoices and how you want payment!! This program is called WAVE ACCOUNTING and its FREE how awesome is that!! It can be used for personal and business to help keep track of your income and expenses....
