But how should you use it: Sprinkle in your bin or fridge to deodorise, spread on the carpet before vacuuming to remove hidden smells. We are being exposed to more pollutants than ever before. (Do some googling to be aware of: irritants, endocrine disrupters, carcinogens and neurotoxins.) Whilst our bodies are resilient our world is not. Education is your most powerful weapon to be aware The impact on the earth arises when our use and elimination of everyday items cre...ates long lasting damage : plastic : as you know, plastic hazardous to our wildlife but after the 1000 years it takes to decompose, the leach of toxins into our soil and water cannot be removed. : clothing : majority of textiles end up in landfill. A review in 2012 found that 20% of industrial water pollution comes from textile dyes and treatments. : cleaning products : the artificial fragrances and chemicals in cleaning products are degradation resistant, staying in the environment for years and polluting water and harming marine life. Cutting out all of those products obviously isn’t an appropriate task. For me it is just being more aware of WHAT I buy, and HOW I’m using it. If I can make a better more informed choice than I will.
