17.01.2022 Like riding a bike... You never forget how. Not that I was ever much chop on anything with two wheels! On the other hand, I did okay on the luderick, effectiv...ely feeding the family on many, many occasions back in the late 80s while waiting for those all-too-intermittent pay cheques as a fledgling freelance journo. Thank goodness for blackfish! I haven’t thrown a float rig off the rocks on the old centrepin for longer than I care to remember, but today seemed like exactly the right day... And second chuck into the wash, the float slid down and... bingo! Can’t believe I left it this long. Followed up with a couple of legal drummer and a monumental dusting from a much better pig. So good to hear the old Avon rattling and clattering again! Jeez, I LOVE fishing with centrepins! Everything is so direct and hands on. Apologies to Handmade Blackfish Floats for taking so long to give your beautiful floats a run. They are absolutely superb! I’ve left the blackfish rod on the roof racks for now... I have a hunch there’s a bit more of this on my immediate horizon. Good times. See more
