22.01.2022 I woke to the smell of spring filling my home today. Yesterday I poured some Japanese Honeysuckle & Blood Orange & Grapefruit candles and oh my, the cold scent throw is amazing. Although soy wax can be a bit temperamental to work with I love the results you get. Although I’m not back attending markets just yet- you can still purchase from That Liittle Place in Wodonga or message me and we can organise a pick up. Thanks for your continued support through these trying times.

20.01.2022 Apologies for such a long post: When I first started Wicks. & Scents my main aim was always to produce a quality at an affordable price. I hope, that thus far I have been able to do that. Recently I’ve been going back over my costing prices. Many suppliers have increased their prices recently. There is also a shortage on lots of products due to increased demand, supplies coming from overseas and of course COVID. You will notice this especially with the lids and I apologise... for the mismatch of them at the moment, but it’s a case of getting what I can. For the time being my prices will remain as is, but I think I am going to have to have a small increase in the new year. This is not something I like to do, but in order to continue making quality products I have to be making a small profit as well. I’m also going to be looking at the lids. Whilst I do like the natural wood lid, they are now costing more than the jar. If I stick with the wood lids they may be a darker colour, or the other option is a metal one. Let me know what you prefer. I’ve always felt that a gorgeous scented candle shouldn’t be a luxury item, it should be something we can purchase anytime. I’m so grateful for the continued support I get from everyone.

18.01.2022 Hand sanitizer pouches I got sick of having to dig through my handbag looking for my bottle of sanitizer so have made a pouch that clips on to the outside. Holds the small 60ml bottles. I’m continually sanitizing my hands whilst out so having this on the outside of my handbag is much more practical. 14.01.2022 Christmas scents have finally arrived - Sugar plum fairies, Gingerbread & Old fashion eggnog. I’ve also managed to get some Aust sandalwood before it sold out again. It’s been a struggle getting supplies, but thankfully I have a fairly good supply of everything- I hope Not sure when I will return to markets but stock always available at That Little Place or private message me and we can arrange a pickup or possible delivery.

03.01.2022 Deluxe embossed jar - I’ve been pouring more of these today. Today’s scents included Australian Bush, Champagne & Strawberries, Coconut Lime,Watermelon Lemonade. These huge candles have a burn time of over 80hrs and are $38. The jar could have multiple uses once empty- I think it would make a great vase. 03.01.2022 Happy Sunday - hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous Spring weather. I just wanted to give you all a bit of an update on where I’m at in regards to markets. Since restrictions have eased a bit Made by Me Market is back up & running, and I am hoping to get back to attending this as soon as I can. Many of you may be aware that I am a full time carer of my husband, who is a quadriplegic. Because of this I need to be extra cautious in regards to the COVID situation and I a...lso need to ensure I have carers with him whenever I’m away. We are in the process of having to find a new organisation to provide his care and train new staff up. They, as well as us, need to feel confident & comfortable being with MICK whilst I’m away. I am hoping that I will be able to get back to markets by either November or December. In the mean time you can still purchase through That Little Place in Wodonga,or I’m happy to have picks up from me at home. If it looks like I won’t get to markets before Xmas I’m thinking of setting up a mini market in the garage at home and that way you will be able to have a smell of the scents first. I would just leave it set up and we can arrange times that suit to come and have a look. Sorry for such a long post, but I just want to let you all know I’m still about, my products are still available and I will eventually be back to markets. Cheers Wendy
