25.01.2022 These are the trays I use for muesli bars. The square one makes 2 rows of 5 muesli bars (measurement 23cm square). The rectangle makes 10 bars (measurement 13cm x 36cm).

19.01.2022 Well we have searched all the local shops this morning, and no one seems to sell marbles anymore. (I loved marbles as a kid!!) Any ideas what we could use instead to place in the muffin tins to create love heart cupcakes?

15.01.2022 Over Easter we had our first go at making chocolates. It was easier than I thought, and the kids had lots of fun doing it. Next time we might add some flavors. Does anyone else make chocolates?

08.01.2022 I'm baking some lunchbox goodies this morning, including these homemade muesli bars. They look and taste like normal muesli bars but have more healthy ingredients and no nasty numbers. If anyone would like the recipe let me know. How are you spending your Sunday?

07.01.2022 For all those lovely people who requested my Muesli Bar Recipe, Here it is: *Mix together in a bowl 1 cup wholemeal SR Flour, 2 cups rolled oats and 1/2 cup sugar and set aside. *Grease & line with baking paper a rectangle or square quiche tray with removable bottom (I'll post a picture) or a slice tray. *Preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius. *In a large microwave proof bowl melt 150g butter and 1tbsp golden syrup... *Once melted, add in the flour/oats/sugar and stir until well mixed *Tip into the tray and spread evenly *Bake for 15-20 minutes until light brown *Leave to cool in tray then slice into muesli bars I package them in cellophane bags that I buy in bulk, and then freeze them. I take them out of the freezer to pack in lunch boxes the night before school. If anyone wants any of the cellophane bags, let me know. They are the perfect size and make the muesli bars look more like the shop bought ones. Happy Baking! See more
06.01.2022 What a great idea - Making heart shaped cupcakes by putting a marble in the muffin trays to creat an indent. I might have to try these out with the kids over the weekend, since Valentines Day is coming up!
