22.01.2022 This week we participated in The Big Vegie Crunch. The Big Vegie Crunch is an attempt by NSW school students to break the record for the highest number of children eating vegetables and to get kids excited about vegetables! Our Hands and Hearts children had the opportunity to taste and try 17 different fruits and vegetables. Together we made a delicious and colourful rainbow before we made fruit and vegetable kebabs ... It was wonderful to see our children trying new fruit and vegetables together. Good nutrition is essential to healthy living and enables children to be active participants in play - Children have a strong sense of wellbeing. EYLF Outcome 3

More than 40 children’s rights are protected in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Today is World Children’s Day, the anniversary of the CRC, when we celebrate children and promote their rights. In 2020 this is particularly important, as COVID-19 has severely affected children, and many of their rights protected in the CRC.
