22.01.2022 Today’s post is a PREVENTION post: Before a heart related problem occurs, the person has 1 of these 4 things (85% of the time...aka most of the time). High blood pressure... High cholesterol Diabetes Smoker Stopping/treating these things reduces your risk massively, just ask your GP.

20.01.2022 THE SEAS ARE SAFE Training Fremantle Sea Rescue on the weekend. These guys and girls are always so keen to learn and work hard behind the scenes to be prepared. Great work to those who participated.

14.01.2022 HANDS ON FIRST AID regularly runs first aid training for Fremantle Sea Rescue volunteers and often invites neighbouring DFES units to attend... today we had volunteers from Cockburn Volunteer Sea Search & Rescue and Rockingham Volunteer Sea Rescue Group, plus State Emergency Service Search Dogs WA handlers; Ian and Kristie attended and of course K-9 18 maverick . We think he is the smartest dog!

04.01.2022 R U OKAY? Christmas, a time full of family and friends...Merry Christmas to all but a timely reminder that this season sees a lot of suicide, loneliness and depression. As a first aider (and as a good person), you CAN and SHOULD ask if some one is okay, not just on "R U OKAY" day.
