24.01.2022 Our favourite type of waddle

19.01.2022 Blast a ball using a hair dryer In this experiment, we will make a ball float in the air and then blast it further. All you need is a hair dryer, a small ball s...uch as a table tennis ball and a tube such as an empty kitchen roll tube Procedure: Plug in the hair dryer and place the ball on the hair dryer. Observe how the ball floats in air and moves with the hair dryer if you move the dryer. Now put the tube above the ball and observe how the ball gets sucked into the tube and shoots through the tube The science behind it: The air rushing out of the hair dryer is moving faster than the surrounding air and has lower pressure. The higher pressure still surrounding air pushes in, keeping the ball in the tunnel of the lower pressure air. When we place the tube in the tunnel, the air moves faster, lowering the air pressure further and sucks the ball into it #science #sciencewithkids #scienceforkids #handsonscience #scienceexperiments
