17.01.2022 Breaks can be big or small.... Holidays that last for days or weeks, or moments in a day that allow you to breath.... Massage can be that break!

15.01.2022 This photo is a part of the South Australian return to work guideline. The heading reads 'pain can be turned up by'. As you can see, the suggestion is that 're...lying on passive treatments' can turn your pain up. That is an incredible suggestion by a government. That is an incredible suggestion by any entity. Now of course we all know that creating any type of dependence on treatment is not healthy for the patient and potentially this is what is meant by the statement. But there is enough to infer that 'passive treatments' (that term really bugs me as it infers manual therapy is a waste of time) make pain worse. That is completely false. There is no basis for that comment and is simply spurious. These statements are now permeating into all sorts of media. MAA guidelines (motor vehicle accident guidelines), insurance company mantra, DVA and NDIS vernacular. What are we doing to rebut these comments and these policies that are now affecting our professions ability to provide service to a growing population? What are our associations lobby on this? Do they have any? Any at all? Or are we just going to sit back and let those other than us define us? Again. If you feel that we should be doing more then please communicate this to your association. And please, send us their response so we have some idea what our leadership is doing.

15.01.2022 Hi Everyone, with self isolating comes more time for FaceBook and the opportunity to share with you why I do what I do, and also to share with you some of the knowledge that underpins our treatment sessions. This short youtube clip introduces you to Fascia, and how it impacts on your ability to move and why you have pain and restrictions. If you've had a treatment with me you'll have heard me speak of Fascia. Check it out.

04.01.2022 Concerned about scar tissue? Scar tissue forms after an injury to the normal collagen cells in the body, whether through surgery or accidental damage, and ... is part of the normal healing process in the body. Scar tissue can cause pain and restriction of movement, it may be almost invisible upon healing, or it may leave large, obvious scars. While it's not possible to completely remove scar tissue, it is possible to help reduce their appearance and their adhesion to the underlying tissue and body structures to help improve movement and skin flexibility. If you're concerned about your scars, give Tanya a call on 41213812

03.01.2022 Back To Work!! According to the latest government announcement, Remedial Massage Therapy is allowed to resume practice so our doors will be open once again as of Tuesday 5th May. Restrictions are in place to ensure the continued safety of our clients and staff. ... Our Responsibility : 1. We will be ensuring we comply with all advanced infection control procedures. 2. We will be practicing social distancing within the clinic by scheduling clients to ensure there are limited numbers in the clinic at any given time. This will mean there are limited appointments available due to the extended time allocation between clients. Your Responsibility : 1. If you are unwell, PLEASE do not attend your appointment. 2. Please respect the self isolation time frames if you have been overseas or have been in contact with anyone (family or other) from overseas, or have had contact with a known case of COVID-19, and let us know this at the time of booking. 3. If you have any underlying illness or condition that would make you vulnerable to CoVid 19 please see your doctor before booking an appointment with us, to ensure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about venturing out of self isolation for a massage treatment. We hope you've all remained safe and well during these strange times and look forward to seeing you again when you are ready. Stay safe!!!
