21.01.2022 It's wonderful to be able to share Feed Appeal's support for the Mildura Region School Breakfast Partnership through their rural school grants! We are so thrilled that the collaborative work the partnership does to connect schools to each other and school children to healthy breakfasts and lunches is being recognised. Feed Appeal's grant means the partnership can now expand to FIVE more schools making sure all school children in our region are able to access the program that... supplies food for breakfast and lunch clubs to schools. Thank-you Feed Appeal, our partners Sunraysia Community Health Services and the hardworking people who make the breakfast partnership a positive part of the school day.
19.01.2022 It's NAIDOC Week, thanks to Covid this significant week is a bit later in the Australian calendar this year, giving us a chance to celebrate the culture and heritage of Australia’s Indigenous communities, explore our shared history, and come together as a nation. SBS Australia has a great introduction to NAIDOC week for anyone that wants to learn more about this important week.

17.01.2022 Participating in the community, interacting with people, being able to have a say, and access to social connection (in person and online) is important for all children to have the best possible start in life. Children who grow up feeling that they belong to a community and that community thinks that they matter and cares for their needs are often better prepared for learning and life. One very important step in this is people in the community supporting children and youth to express their views and involve them in decisions that affect them. What things do you think people in our community can do to help make children feel heard, supported and connected?

09.01.2022 Research tells us when children who grow up in homes and communities that believe they can achieve success and support them to learn, they do better in school and beyond. The data tells us that many children living in local communities are not beginning school ready. One of the strongest opportunities to change this is for local families/carers, loved ones and community to share their knowledge on how to best support children to learn at home and in the community. As a small,... closely connected community, we know Red Cliffs has the understanding and strengths needed to choose, test, and try the best options for supporting their children. We are inviting Red Cliffs families with children under the age of 8 to join us on a new project aiming to learn test and try ideas to support children in our community. The project will begin mid-February and run until the end of May; involvement in this project is a paid role for families and carers. To learn more, or work together with us contact Catherine Thompson [email protected]
