Step 1: Setup a MyGov Account through this website www.my.gov.au Step 2: Register for a Centrelink online account and Customer Reference Number (CRN) through your MyGov Account... Step 3: Link your MyGov Account to the Centrelink service’. Need help with steps 1, 2 and 3? Google search ’Services Australia Setting up online Centrelink account’ Step 4: Once logged in you can complete the application for the Jobseeker payment. How much money you will receive can be found by searching in google for Centrelink job seeker payment how much will I get Once you have started to receive the Jobseeker payments you will also receive the Coronavirus supplement for the next 6 months. Which is an additional payment of $550 per fortnight. Please note that if you have recently lost your job you should apply for the jobseeker payment immediately, because if you start receiving the Coronavirus supplement before 13th of April 2020 you will also receive a one off payment of $750. Step 5: If you are still struggling with money? You may also be able to gain early access to your superannuation. From mid-April 2020 you can apply directly to the ATO through your MyGov Account to access up to $10,000 of your super TAX FREE before 30th June 2020 and up to an additional $10,000 TAX FREE from 1st of July 2020 for approximately 3 months. Eligibility requirement are on the ATO website What happens after you lodge your application: After the ATO has processed your application, they will issue you with a determination and also send it to your superannuation fund. Your fund will then make the payment to you, without you needing to apply to them directly. Please make sure your superfund has your correct details, including your current bank account details and proof of identity documents. STEP 6: Still not able to pay the bills? Contact your lenders, as a lot of banks have said they will allow people to pause making repayments for up to 6 months. (This should be a last resort any interest not paid over this period will be added to your loan and potentially increase the repayment after the 6mth break.

02.01.2022 With all the talk focused on helping renters, investors are not getting the support needed to be able to help renters. We all want to do our part. This is an excellent idea how the banks can best help everyone. My main concern with 6mth holiday "help" is the increased debt at the end of this period. Rents will not be increase to help cover the new higher loan repayments.
