13.01.2022 Great day in the office. Can't beat the views back towards Nundle from near Mount Rodney near Monteray Road. We were able to find the remains of the original peg, the reference GI pipe and rock lockspit. Worth the hard slog up the hill just for the view. Finding the original corner was a bonus. 07.01.2022 Satisfying to find old survey marks. This corner isn't that old being installed in 1975. We found the old peg, galvanised iron reference pipe and rock lockspit. We installed a new peg so the next surveyor who happens to come along can find the corner again. We used two GPS units: one to take the original observation and the second as a check. The first GPS unit has a base station whilst the second uses the NSW CORS network. We found good agreement in horizontal position but up to 70mm differences in height.
