To my absolute joy one day, the dress and a pair of stiletto shoes ended up in my dress up box. I remember clomping around in those shoes with the dress dragging on the ground around me. We had a great day at the Ocean Grove Rotary Market and met lots of lovely people. It was so nice to feel that life has returned to some semblance of normality and to see people's faces, not hidden behind face masks. Thank you to everyone for their wonderful comments on my dresses. 06.01.2022 Happy Monday. Loving my new dress display stand which was made for me by my talented partner @edos_upcycled_timberware. Made from repurposed bannister rails which have been hanging around the shed for years, a wooden coat hanger and reclaimed timber. The stand was inspired by one that I purchased for my sewing room from @ginger_revamped, however I wanted a slightly heavier one for taking to the markets. The stand has been decorated with Mezzi and I Frank paint and Artisan gold wax purchased from @ginger_revamped . The lace remnants; some vintage that I used for the bodice of this dress have been in my collection for many years along with the Peter Pan vintage floral fabric that I used for the skirt.
