25.01.2022 We have been role playing a lot over the last few months. The addition of a Drs kit, based on a child's interest, has seen the group play shift to taking on the roles of being a Dr or a patient. The plastic stethoscopes were the biggest fascination and we were kindly gifted by a parent some real ones along with instrument pouches and bandages. The play evolved again with the children being vets and caring for their furry friends. The children were encouraged to describe symptoms, tell each other how their animal was hurt, check temperature and breathing as well as administer medicine and bandage wounds.
