24.01.2022 We warmly welcome Ryan to our studio! He is only 4 years old and can already read notes, C, D, E, F, G using both hands on the piano. If you’re thinking about when the right age is to start your child on lessons, all that is required is that they can count to ten and know their alphabet up to G. We look forward to seeing Ryan perform at our Christmas Recital soon.

24.01.2022 Emmanuel auditioned for the Queensland Youth Orchestra two weeks ago. He currently plays with the Queensland Youth Orchestra 3. His audition for 2020 comprised of excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet and Beethoven's 3rd Symphony. His own choice work was Allegro Appassionato, Op.43 (Saint-Saëns, Camille). Here are the photos side by side of 2019 and 2018 audition runs. Wishing Emmanuel all the best with the results that are released in December!

22.01.2022 Massive congratulations to Ryan for receiving Honours (A) for his Grade 3 Cello exam! He performed Greensleeves, Allegro Concerto by Vivaldi, Budapesto and Tempo di ballo. The examiner's comments were: "Ryan, you play beautifully. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable concert today. You have excellent technical command which you use to create a musical performance."

21.01.2022 Congratulations to Johannes for completing his Grade 2 Piano exam, receiving a Credit! Some of the examiner's comments were: "Well done on creating a full tone reminiscent of the harpsichord; Your performance communicated the majesty of this piece well; I really enjoyed hearing your pieces and how well your piano playing is coming along. It is clear you enjoy playing, and so many elements are coming together nicely. Well done Johannes, keep up the good work!"

21.01.2022 A few months ago, Manaal participated in the AUSTA String Festival Soloist section. She performed Budapesto and Tarantella in preparation for her upcoming Grade 3 Cello comprehensive exam. She received great and insightful feedback from Loreta Fin. What a great performance opportunity for Manaal. Well done!

17.01.2022 Congratulations to Manaal for completing her Comprehensive Grade 3 Cello Exam last weekend. She is such a diligent 9 year old! She prepared Greensleeves, Tempo di ballo, Budapesto, Sarabanda and The Joker.

14.01.2022 Congratulations to Caitlin for receiving Honours for her Grade 2 Violin Repertoire exam. She prepared for this exam in 4 months, after completing Grade 1 earlier this year in May. Some of the examiner’s comments were: Overall, you gave a musical and pleasing performance today. You have a nicely developing vibrato. You also play with a sensitive, musical tone. Well done.

03.01.2022 Massive congratulations to Sakurawa for receiving Honours for her Grade 3 Violin exam. Sakurawa is only 8 years old! Some of the examiner's comments were: "You performed this piece up to tempo demonstrating coordinated hands, accurate shift work and secure intonation; ... captured the character of the piece whilst producing a resonant tone; presented a well-balanced program demonstrating a secure technical facility and posture, an enjoyable performance."

01.01.2022 A belated congratulations to Zuri 13yo for achieving her Grade 5 exam on cello! She completed this exam in Term 2 and some of the examiner's comments were: "Highly expressive performance; tone and articulation were well-controlled; you are musical". Well done Zuri!

01.01.2022 Vale Ennio Morricone 1928-2020 love this piece "Gabriel's Oboe" as well as many of his other luscious melodies.
