25.01.2022 The HE123 user manual that I mentioned that I was working on a few weeks ago is still very much a work in progress but it's been uploaded to my site as there's details in there that are needed and aren't in the older manual. The manual is downloadable from http://www.hansonelectronics.com.au//HE123-User-Manual-V1. I have to say that the Christmas light community is great. I have had several offers from customers to give me a hand with the manual. Part of the issue with the ...manual is my decades long struggle with M$ Word and the other is that I am making things up as I go along. I don't know all of the features of Falcon Player and I'm trying to document some of them in the manual and I'm also trying to make the manual contain ALL of the relevant info and there's a lot of it. There's dozens of photos with lots of markup on some of them, a dozen or so FPP screenshots, a blank page (due to ongoing fight with Word) and I would still probably like to add another dozen or so photos or diagrams. I'm madly busy building boards for a big order so it could be next week at the earliest before I touch the manual again. See more
24.01.2022 The post is still leaving here nice and fast but for overseas deliveries especially things are rather slow. Express deliveries to US and UK once took around 3 business days. Most of the time the same deliveries get no further than Melbourne airport in 5-10 days. There's not too many flights around it seems. Stay safe and order early. It's only 10 1/2 months until it's time to light up again.
24.01.2022 Today will be the last day for a week that I'm shipping. With the snap lockdown that has just been announced for Victoria it is easiest to just hold up a few potential deliveries rather than head out to the post office.
23.01.2022 Just sent off my latest board for production. Around midweek next week I should have the latest board ready to load and test. It's the big brother to 1 of my other boards and and the DMX2-24 will do a few things that nothing else does.
23.01.2022 It's been a very busy start to the year with 80 orders going out so far or about 5 every week day :O I've also just finished the first big order for 2021 with a few hundred boards shipped off to Wired Watts. With reduced flights due to Covid it'll be a bit slower than Monday of next week but hopefully it's not too much slower.
16.01.2022 It must be getting close to Christmas. So far I have 10 orders to go out on 4th Jan :OIt must be getting close to Christmas. So far I have 10 orders to go out on 4th Jan :O
16.01.2022 There's a public holiday in Victoria tomorrow Friday 23-Oct-2022 to celebrate the AFL grand final parade/surviving covid or some such crap so as a result I'm closed and no deliveries will be going out. Don't let that stop you ordering though :D I'd love a reason to celebrate even though there's no Grand Final parade through Melbourne, no Grand Final in Melbourne, no Grand Final parties this weekend and most importantly my team isn't there to try for a 16th premiership or even a 28th grand final loss. Carn the Tiges. At least if the grand final can't be in Melbourne then a Melbourne team should win.
10.01.2022 Special requests can be handled. I had the following as a note on an order. "Can you please mark this as not Christmas lights as I am already over budget and need to hide from wife.... Thanks." Gotta look after the customers.
08.01.2022 Is it bad when you start Monday morning with 12 deliveries to pack up and send today that part way through the 3rd parcel you start singing to yourself "The 12 Parcels of Christmas"? Is it worse that you then fess up to your daughter as to what you were doing? #christmastragic
07.01.2022 A few things are back in stock after a few boxes of goodies turn up today. I also got the fuseholders in so I could finish my final board for 2020. The Power4 power distribution board is now available. It's the baby brother of the Power8. back in stock - 31V 200W power supplies - 5V 200W power supplies - 290 x 190 x 140 box with glands... - 390 x 290 x 160 box - pixel mounting strip I also have hundreds of mounting strip reliefs (MSR's) in stock, I got a few DMX2-18 built in my spare time and I have plenty of pixel meters in stock. They are just the thing for diagnosing voltage drop or data integrity issues as they have a 3-24V meter in them, a pixel node and a switchable null pixel buffer. http://www.hansonelectronics.com.au/product/pixelmeterr/ See more
