21.01.2022 Adapting to your surroundings to continue with your training, what a beautiful afternoon it was to train outside.Good job and well done my 2 kids, keep it up .Its also great for your fitness and wellbeing.
21.01.2022 Kia Ora Fellow martial artists, martial art family and friends. Its been a great martial art journey for my family and I.Weve had the privilege & honour over the years of training under and learning from some of the best Masters in the world at their chosen martial arts. With all of our journeys put on hold for the moment nows a good time to reflect on what you have to be grateful for ,what weve learnt to date and what we want to be achieving when we get to continue our jou...rneys.While youre at home try and practice what youve learnt by improvising, adapting and modifying your techniques and drills to your surroundings. Please dont give up on yourself or your chosen martial art because if theres a will there is always a way no matter what level or belt you are. This situation isnt going to last forever so keep focused on the bigger picture.Prepare yourself for when we can return to or clubs and our place of practice.Together our arts will continue to thrive ,our skills will be sort after, required and tested. But there are no shortcuts or an easy fix.Being a true Martial Artist is being True to oneself and the True way of your art.#Never Give Up #Stay Focused #Keep it Real and Train Honestly #Remain Humble See more
21.01.2022 Since the beginning of restrictions , with having to do homeschooling it was important that I had structure and a schedule my kids could rely on to help keep them in a routine.Starting from when they got up in the morning too bed time with limited iPad time as a reward for school work and fitness/training/wellbeing #I believe and feel that if you ask someone to do an exercise you should be able to do it yourself,or lead by example .
20.01.2022 Teachers way! Fake martial artists follow other fakers because they can not recognize them. They maybe have never learned the true martial art way. Many fakers... own martial arts gyms. Unfortunately they pass on their fake way to their students. In doing so they bring their own martial art to a very low level. It doesn't matter what you teach, you have to teach it the right martial art way. And first of all teach respect and real and true techniques. The background is very important. Most of those people don't have their roots - their own teacher. This sort of people push their teacher away or even go against their teacher, because they're trying to be above their teacher. This is not martial art mind. Practice respect first then you can teach it the right way to your students. Not having a teacher means big ego. That means they are doing something own not following correct way. This sort of people pinching some techniques and leave their teacher, because they are thinking they're big masters. In martial arts you never stop learning. Without your teacher on their side they go of the right way. And that has a result that they lying to other people and their students teaching them the wrong way. Why is it important to talk about that topic? There are many reasons. It is important to keep martial art the true way. Fake people that are teaching martial arts with not enough knowledge, without the right base and for wrong reasons make a lot of damage. They teach techniques that don't work, which makes their students disappointed in martial arts and even put their students in danger. Look closely when you are choosing your martial art teacher and your gym.

19.01.2022 In this video Im demonstrating basic squats. With this routine I have a structure where we use time and body weight training for fitness. For example we started off with doing 30 second rep by 1 set. Then we went to 2 sets of 30 seconds.Once we got to 3 sets I started extending the time till 1 minute rep @ 1 set ,then 2 sets and adding other body weight exercises for strength and conditioning. #It doesnt matter what exercise you choose to do as long as you try and do something on a regular basis
18.01.2022 This also applies to a club who make up their own syllabus and calling it something it is NOT .Watch out for clubs who only want to make money from students.Without any proper guidance from an instructor who has been taught correctly you will learn bad habits.Which could result putting you in a dangerous situation if you dont have the knowledge or you have the incorrect techniques ..#Be diligent when choosing a Martial art club or affiliating with an Organisation. #It is better to know it and not need it than to need it and not know it #Martial Arts are Skills for Life

14.01.2022 It was with a heavy heart that I had to put on hold training because of Covid 19 since Monday. The 2 students here trained hard and earned their right to grade this week but unfortunately that was taken away from them. I need to give special mention to our Blue belt you see here who after 3 nearly 4 years of putting his journey on hold because of personal reasons has trained harder than any other martial artists Ive known. He is one of the reasons I want to be an instructor and he is a true inspiration. He also works at our local Hospital,THANK YOU for letting me be part of your journey.....You have what it takes to be a Black belt . 13.01.2022 Its important to learn the correct technique from the first kick till your last kick or any technique youll learn. You can waste hundreds of hours & even years learning incorrect techniques and the out come is youre still going to be doing incorrect techniques. #Learn from someone who has been taught correctly and takes their role Seriously & Responsibly #All Kids & Women should learn a form of Self-defence #Martial Arts are Skills for Life

We want people in our organisation who seriously want to... learn martial art and belong to a serious organisation with genuine martial artists. We are welcoming everyone into our organisation but if we will get aware of any wrong doings we will disregard you as our member. We dont issue higher Dan certificates only because someone moved to us from other organisations and dont supply Hapkido certificates without any Hapkido knowledge. Im only looking for people who want to learn genuine and original Hapkido techniques. See more

06.01.2022 On my journey ,from a child ,to becoming a Martial Artist you see a lot of people come and go. I was once told by my Master back then that Martial arts isnt for everyone. That its a process of natural selection either you want to do it or you dont and they give themselves reasons why they should Stop. The truth of it is if you really want it you will stop at nothing to achieve what you started. We all have good and bad days but if its really important to you, youll find a way no matter what it is in life. For me I love training with a passion.I enjoy learning the arts ,I feel grateful being part of someone elses journey through teaching and passing on the techniques. #Get out of your Comfort Zone #Strong Mind =Success #Its the difference between Ordinary and Extraordinary
