23.01.2022 The Plantfair Team look forward to welcoming everyone to Market Park at Bellingen on Saturday 9th September. The team are putting the finishing touches to what is going to be a memorable event for Bellingen garden lovers and the many visitors from far and wide who come to town for this fragrant occasion. The team have an interesting variety of half hour workshops and this Spring you will find great food and coffee down at the stage area. Anyone who has a couple of hours to volunteer working on the cake or info stall or who would bake a cake we would love to hear from you. 0409996423 #Plant Your Own Wildlife Habitat#
20.01.2022 It is just two weeks away from the Spring Plant Fair and there will be a huge variety of Plants and the team is getting plenty of Growers with a wide variety of Plants who are booked in already. This year we are asking Growers and Patrons to use recycled Plastic Bags as the Plant Fair team is working with "Waste Not Bellingen" to achieve a "Plastic Bag Free Plant Fair" So what exactly does that mean? It means NO New PLASTIC BAGS! There will be people on hand to assist with getting your plants from the stall to pick up points.
20.01.2022 Hi to all our stall holders and volunteers as we prepare for Autumn Plant Fair 2019. A lovely orchid from 2016

17.01.2022 Gardeners will be looking to replace trees that were bombed by the summer storms and many folks will be at the Bec Autumn Plant Fair at Market Park to replenish flower beds and shrubs wiped out by the recent droughts. The whole motivation of holding the Autumn and Spring Plant Fair's is to get Plants in the Ground. The Fair has been run through voluntary effort for the past 29 years. Phone 0475743851 if you can bake a cake or work on the Info stall for a couple of hours.
13.01.2022 What an amazing variety of Frangiapanni for your garden.
09.01.2022 Our next Plant Fair is on the 10th March 2018 and our 86 Growers reported excellent trading at the Spring Plant Fair. We especially want to thank the Bellingen Scouts for working with patrons to get their Plants from the Plant Fair stalls to the pick up point. You were legends!
08.01.2022 Bec Autumn and Spring Plant Fair Team will be working with our Growers to achieve a #Plastic Bag Free# spring Plant Fair and we will be actively supporting Bellingen Eye the youth of Bellingen who have been asking us all for some years to #Stop# using Plastic Bags. We want any of our Growers who may need special help with becoming #Plastic Bag Free# and we will provide that assistance at Spring Plant Fair 2017.

04.01.2022 Excitement is building amongst the seventy growers we have spoken to this week about the Spring Plant Fair 2017 to be held at Market Park between 8am to 1pm. We acknowledge the Aboriginal custodians of the land in the region where we live and work, the Gumbaynggirr people, and Elders past and present. A warm welcome to Jaliggirr Nursery who will be selling Native Plants and talking about their relationship to Gumbaynggirr cultural Heritage.... A Gumbaynggirr representative will be doing, "Welcome to Country" at the stage near the foodstalls. Be there for a special ceremonial Planting on the creekbank at 0830 Workshop Program below.

02.01.2022 - THE GREATER GLIDER - Is there anything cuter than this flying ball of fluffy adorableness? So incredibly disappointing that this amazingly unique animal is fa...cing extinction. It has been two years since the greater glider was listed as a threatened species under the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988. However, a statutory required action statement, recovery plan and any legislative protection for the species is still non existent. Without the necessary protection, the greater glider is still suffering the immense impacts of logging operations across its range in Victoria. Timber harvesting operations have been proven to cause declines and localised extinctions for the greater glider and will continue to have these negative impacts on the species until protective measures are taken. Since the listing citizen scientists groups have detected and recorded over 200 greater gliders within logging coupes across Victoria. Heartbreakingly, many of these individuals will have since been lost due to government negligence. It's time to take action! Please contact the environment minister Lily D'Ambrosio MP and our Dan Andrews and tell them that this fluffy fauna deserves protection!
02.01.2022 Stop logging remaining Native Forest now!

01.01.2022 This Sat 9th March "Bellingen Growers Market" is coming to 29th Autumn Plant Fair. Find all your locally grown tucker through the Park Street Entrance to Market Park opposite Catholic School. See you there!
