We leave early Saturday (October 31st) morning from Brisbane airport and will fly to Cairns where we will have breakfast and then on a yacht sailing around for lunch. 04.01.2022 Sorry, but I need to vent ! ! ! ! I experienced the WORST customer service today at a local shop & felt I should warn every one. I don't want to mention the name of the store because I'm not sure how I'm going to proceed. Yesterday I bought something from this store. I paid cash for it. I took it home and found out it didn't work. So today, less than 24 hours later I took it back to the store and asked if I could get a refund. The girl working at the store told me NO ev...en though I still had the receipt. I asked if I could get a replacement instead then. Again this person told me "NO." I asked to talk to a manager now as I'm really not happy and I explained that I had just bought the item, had got it home and it didn't work. The manager just smiled and told me to my face that I was "OUT OF LUCK." No refund. No FREE replacement. Grrrrrrrrr. . 01.01.2022 Happy New Year All, As of 5.30am tomorrow WE ARE BACK!!! Due to the lockdown finishing at 6pm tonight business will be as usual (Covid usual) however we have had to introduce a QR scan code for all who wish to dine in as apposed to the paper records we had before closing for Christmas. ... Vicki & I would personally like to thank you all for your understanding whilst being closed during the Christmas period allowing us to spend time with our family & friends, it is greatly appreciated. It was brought to my attention that a post was put on a local community page a few days ago in regards to the cafe & us being closed during the Christmas break. A huge thanks to those that stood up for Happy Dayz Cafe & also thank you to the Admin of this page for deleting said post. I’m sure most of you all aware however I just wanted to put out there that Happy Dayz is run by just myself & Vicki. Due to us being in a small community shopping centre the traffic we get through is not the same as a cafe in a shopping centre or a cafe on the coast that relies solely on tourists. We are 100% supported by our local community therefore we are not busy all day everyday. Covid has been a trying time for us all. We went from being a 30 seat cafe to takeaway only. Some restrictions eased which allowed us to seat 14ppl but for this to work we had to carry out some changes in our dining area. We installed a 2nd breakfast bar & a bench seat so we could seat 14 & still be able to abide by the restrictions. I have learnt from Covid that my cafe does not trade well much after 11am this is due to our community being a working community. Therefore moving forward we decided to focus the business on being a breakfast cafe trading during our busiest periods, limiting the wastage & running costs thus allowing us to keep our doors open for the last 2.5years. Again we thank you all for your ongoing support & looking very much forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
