24.01.2022 It's been an exciting first week of Christmas! My little daycare helpers helped put up the Christmas, they created their on Christmas tree and a very special magical elf returned to join us for the Christmas season

24.01.2022 Cloud dough will be loved by children and adults. Lovely to touch, mould or just to let fall through your fingers. 8 cups of plain flour, 1 cup of baby oil and mix well with your fingers. If mixture is too lumpy keep adding flour until you're happy with the texture and enjoy :)

19.01.2022 Yesterday we spent our morning transforming cardboard boxes into race cars! Love the children's dedication and cooperation towards completing this project. A job well done and they were certainly proud of their work!

18.01.2022 At Happy Hearts Home Daycare music and dancing is part of our morning routine because music makes us happy. Together we dance, we sing, we jam and go crazy with our stretchy Lycra.

17.01.2022 Don't throw away your egg shells! Soak them in coloured water, drain them and decorate. This is a great effect towards their masterpiece :) I find chanting and singing directions helps little ones to remember the order like 'glue, glue, glue and stick, stick, stick' and singing 'water, paint, paper'. The egg shells in this picture is just one dozen worth. Cara :)

16.01.2022 As you can see, shaving cream art is such a fun activity. The marble result you get from just swirling the colours through the cream looks and smells amazing! How it's done: squirt different colours onto the shaving cream (I used diluted food colouring), stir the shaving cream then place paper over the top of the shaving cream. Use a ruler to scrape off the excess cream and allow to dry.

14.01.2022 Doilies make such cute Lions. The kids chased each other around with their roaring creations once they were done, I'm very surprised all 3 made it through the day in one piece. Cara :)

13.01.2022 Your toddler will enjoy turning their grandparents unwanted doilies into a flowery garden. It's even worth purchasing them specifically for arts and craft if you happen to come across them, as they make such a great effect to their creative masterpieces. Cara :)

13.01.2022 Stensils are great for our litte ones to make the connection between lines and creative drawing. Their faces will light up with pride at the amazement of their own work as you take the stensil away. It's a good idea to sticky tape the stensil to the paper so it remains secure. Cara

12.01.2022 Everyday we built the highest tower we can! Whether its with lego blocks or wooden blocks, we build until we can't reach any higher or until the tower falls, then we rebuild. With the help of our friends we can build them higher and faster. We love the loud noise they make when they come crashing down. We have also started playing dominos with the wooden blocks. We love to build!
