11.01.2022 I'm surely not the only horseperson in the world who has noticed the similarity here; You can talk to your friends but you can't touch them or go to their place... or invite them to yours You are confined to a small space of your own You get out once a day for exercise (and even then you probably can't do the exercise you would choose) You can only eat a restricted diet as available If you're bored, you have to just tough it out because there's nothing you can do to change it This is lockdown. This is social isolation. How are you feeling after 3 weeks living like this? If you think your horse is OK living like this ALL THE TIME or if you run a livery yard offering only this then you have to be prepared to admit that you keep a horse for your own convenience and you care nothing for his mental well-being. Think about it. Horses need to live with horses.
