25.01.2022 Hello winter, we just started winter this week and we have been adjusting with our new routine for this winter season. We are very lucky to live in Brisbane with this friendly weather, cold in the morning and warm during the day. This week the children were enjoying their play in different area, having fun with their friends and learning together.

24.01.2022 What we have been doing in the last few weeks. The 3-4 years children have been practicing pre writing skills, pencil grips, tracing the line and learning difference lines. Also our beans plant is time for harvest time and ready for us to pick. The children were excited to pick the beans, using scissors and required our scissors and cutting skills. Loose part construction area has been our favorite area this week. The children came up with creative and imaginative ideas. The children were collaborate, working together as a team and accepting others idea. Learning through play was happening in this area.

24.01.2022 I love getting my children outdoors to experience and appreciate nature. Today the children were making funny faces with leaves, flower and rocks. The children are using their creativity and imagination when they play.

23.01.2022 The children have been playing with the plastic fruits, that they can cut in half with the plastic knife. There are velcro attached in the center of that plastic fruits, to extend the children learning. I planned that we can have a fruit testing and discussion about the real fruit in the basket . In our discussion we talked about the skin textureof the fruit, the colors, the seeds when we cut in half and also we taste and eat it for our morning tea. This activity will promoting healthy eating choice and a good nutrition.

23.01.2022 This morning we were celebrating Easter, the children were excited and had a good and fun time with their friends. We did pompom paintings, made Easter bunny heads and the last fun activity was chocolate Easter egg hunting. The children were searching for chocolate eggs and filled baskets that we made last week. Thank you for the parents who helped to make Easter hats and for the ones who came this morning. (Jacob+Ethans dad and Emmetts mum.)

23.01.2022 We were celebrating Australia Day last week. This is what we have been doing to celebrate Australian day.

23.01.2022 We just started the Spring season. A lot of exciting and fun activities that we can enjoy and learn across this season, to begin our learning about Spring, I would like to introduce to the children the structure of the flowers/plants from the roots, stem, leaves and flowers. Also we discussed about "what do the flowers need to grow?" The children are remembered 5 factors that help plants to grow. The variety activities that we have that include flowers pot arrangement with playdough, sorting and observing the seed using the magnifying glass, counting flowers using pom pom and more. Next week we will have more exciting activities coming up.

23.01.2022 Our morning tea was a bit special. The girls were enjoying our tea time, served with tea and quiche. This activity was spontaneous activity, that requested from this morning play. When children feel secure, safe and supported they grow in confidence to explore and learn( Outcome 1.1) and Children become strong in their social and emotional wellbeing ( Outcome 3.1)

22.01.2022 Christmas is just in the corner, the great season of the year. This posting will be the last post for 2017. We have been busy in the last few week making the Christmas art and craft. We made the Christmas Tree cards from the painting colours cart for mum and dad and for the 3-4 years children, they were tracing the words on the card and wrote their name. We made the Santa Christmas basket from paper plate and painted in red colour, other activity was making the snowman Christmas tree decoration and Rudolf the red nose reindeer. We all happy and very proud of our self. We wish you all Merry Christmas 2017 and a safe holiday. God bless you..

22.01.2022 We have had a busy week with our learning.Our topic for our learning this week is "Rainbow fruit and vegetable". We begin with our learning from knowing all of the fruit and vegetable name, the color and the shape. The children were sorting the fruit and vegetabl by making a poster for our wall. Weve been reading the book " Im having a rainbow for my dinner" and we extend our learning with making and coloring a rainbow and glue the fruit and vegetable picture according of the rainbow colors. Outcome 4.3: Children transfer and adapt what they learned from one context to another.

21.01.2022 Welcome back to all of the children and parents. We all feel refresh, full of excitement and energy to start our learning this year in 2018. At the begining of January we would like to start learning with the topic "All about me". We made hands and foots prints for our poster and the children have been interviewed with the question about their self. Lots of activities and learning experience that we heve been learning this week like our body part, labeling the body part, drawing a person , made our self potrait glueing the eyes, nose and mouth and learning 5 senses

21.01.2022 This week has been a busy week for the children and developing new skills. The children express wonder and interst in their environment. Use their imagination to explore ideas. We have set up new play area , " Ice cream shop" this play area was requested one of our friend. In this play area the children develop their verbal and non verbal communication, interacting with others in their play, respond verbally and non verbally to what they see, touch, feel and taste. Understand 2 ways commuication answer and question.

17.01.2022 I went to Reverse garbage on the weekend, finding lots of intresting things and getting a new ideas. I made a feel-and-touch sensory wall play for the children. This sensory wall play has different textures; squishy, soft and rough surfaces from different materials. The children experienced sensory play with their little hands, for example squishing, touching, pinching and grasping.

15.01.2022 Mothers day is just on the weekend. We have been busy making presents for our mum. We made flowers from egg cartons and painted them in different colors. Also we made mothers day cards from our hand prints and decorate them. When we open the card it looks like a butterfly. The children are excited and cant wait to give the present to their mum on the weekend. Happy mothers day for all mums. You are my sunshine mum.

14.01.2022 Our dramatic play area has been transformed into baby nursery this week! One of our friend will welcome a new sibling soon. Its a great time to introduce this area to the children.

12.01.2022 Our new learning area , We are proud to be Australian. In this area the children will learn where they belong, where do we live, Australian map and the state in Australia, knowing and explore with soft toys Australian animals, the indigenous painting and colors, matching game of the indigenous painting, story telling and recognising the Australian flag.

09.01.2022 Our learning area this week is more specific, we have set up maths investigation area. This area has plenty variety and open ended resources for the children self directed learning with a range of inviting materials. In Regio Emilia, children are considered able to direct their own interest and learning through free investigations with stimulating material in enriching environment.

09.01.2022 It has been a while since my last up date. We would like to welcome Finns family and Ethanss family into our community. Here is the photos of the children that enjoying and busy playing in Happy Kids Family Day Care.

08.01.2022 This week one of our friend came to day care and brought a toy shopping trollie and a cash register, to share and played together. The children were interested and were playing together for a long time. This is why we want to set up our dramatic play area into supermarket play area. I have asked all of the parents to collect food container and boxes to our suppermarket area. Pretend play is an important part of the childrens development. They learn by imaging and doing. The children used their pretend play to mimicking what theyve seen adult do.

06.01.2022 We have been playing with the loose part material in the last few week. Children are developing their creativity, imagination and use their play to explore the idea. This week we used the loose part to make a funny faces in the art area. To support the children interest, I have been transform our learning area into funny faces play area with lots of different variety material for the children to use their creativity and imagination.

06.01.2022 Welcome this week....I have changed the indoor play area more inviting for the children. The result is, the children are more settled in this environment.

04.01.2022 What we did in the last few weeks. We have been learning lots of different variety skills and development. Our compost is ready to put in our veggie garden. The children helped to put the compost to our vegie garden and watched them grow. To extend our learning knowing the letters in our name, we started learning our family name and we traces with the cutting paper and glue the paper. We also learned making pattern by color and we did painting making pattern using the yoghurt lid. We also developing our pre writing skills and tracing the number 1-10 and tracing the line.

04.01.2022 The letter for the week is letter R for a rainbow. The children did letter R poster for our wall display, we colored the letter R with color pencil in rainbow colors. There are 7 colors of rainbow red, orange, yellow, green, blue violet and indingo. From this expereience we made a rainbow colors chart to put in our learning area. I have been seeting up the colors station area in our room. The children likes to do sorting by colors and looking all of the colors from the books.

02.01.2022 Learning should be fun. I agree with this statement.Today, the children explored and learned the letters in their name. This one-on-one teaching and learning was interesting and inviting for the children. On the table we had the chidrens name kit in the envelopes. The kids matched the letters and followed the name card.They also traced their name with coloured rocks. Have fun playing with your name kids!

02.01.2022 Dinosaurs Small World Play. Today, We have a beautiful set up with Dinosaurs, insects, rocks and plants. Small world play is an important aspect of the children play. Imaginative skills are suppported, allowing the children to express thoughts and experiences into their play.
