09.01.2022 The wombats haven't been lucky when it comes to the weather! Our first trip to the river had to be postponed due to rain that made the river run. The second time round, today, we had the same problem with rain. The river was not flowing but with rain upstream the potential was there. We decided to take the wambat group for a walk to the river, but not enter the river. We talked about road safety, walked in lines, discussed the weather and being safe around rivers, we found a bird which may have struggled in last night's storm and collected rubbish on the way back. The children did Acknowledgement of Country on the river bank. Although we did not get to play and explore the river, we had an exciting walk outside the kindy.
