22.01.2022 This weekend is the Breakthrough Community Round! Conversations about mental health are so important and we are proud to support and help raise some funds for m...ental health research. All junior and senior teams will wear armbands to support the cause. A full day at home for the boys and men, you can get involved by purchasing the lucky squares or making donations in the tins around the ground. You can even donate online here: https://breakthroughcommunityround.com/happyvalleyfootballc The women both away this weekend in their final minor round, as the A Grade take Broadview in a top of the table clash, going for an undefeated run in Season 2020. B Grade are off to Edwardstown to give it their all and make finals this year, good luck to both teams! Some great games to watch on Sunday, the Under 14 girls head off to Cove, as the Under 14 boys, Under 17 girls and C Grade men all play at home and of course all our amazing Subbies in the early hours. There are a few things to know before attending today's game: - spectators entrance is via the North gate on Laura Avenue. - please remember social distancing of 1.5m - spectator contact details maybe recorded at tomorrow’s event as it forms part of venues COVIDsafe plan, so please ensure you allow some extra time in case there is a line up at the gate... - alcohol can be purchased at the licensed venue, however can only be consumed within the area covered by their liquor licence (THERE IS NO BYO - anyone caught bringing alcohol to the ground will have it confiscated) - spectators are allowed to bring their own seating - presentations after the game will not take place on the oval as in previous years, however we will be heading back to the Club after the game to for presentations and welcome you to join us! - the League asks that players, team officials and spectators please refrain from posting any photos or videos to social media that encourage or show what appear to be unsafe COVID behaviours - in all instances we ask that you continue to respect any direction given by a COVID Marshal, Host Club representative, League Official or security - there is no oval access except to players, team officials and league officials with wristbands It is not a requirement, however we do recommend you get the COVIDsafe app, and if you already have it ensure it is active. 18.01.2022 Round 4 for the men is here, as we head down to Aldinga, where the A Grade men will also take on Noarlunga! Round 5 for the women - our A Grade are headed out t...o Eastern Park and the B Grade play our only home match of the day against Henley. Round 4 for the girls, who are both away on Sunday as they continue to fight for their next wins in the SFLW comp! And Round 5 for the subbies, which will include the Valley Cup to be played at home - should be a great morning to check out our young talent! See you on or around the field Vikings!

14.01.2022 QUIZ NIGHT - SATURDAY NIGHT Quiz night will still be proceeding this Saturday after Presentations in the club room at 7pm for a 7:30 start. Please ensure you... leave the club rooms immediately following presentations so we can re-welcome you all back in for Quiz night to begin! * -* We will be strictly monitoring and adhering to our COVID-Safe plan and as such social distancing will need to be upheld. Sanitiser will be provided on each table. Strictly no standing while eating or drinking . Please consider hygiene when preparing, sharing and eating food on your table. This food is with any other table. Do not attend if you are feeling unwell in any way. Please advise Jackie ([email protected]) if you are no longer attending. Please pay at the door on entry please ensure you have the correct change ($10 pp) or pay via card to prevent additional handling and exchanging of cash. Bring your coins for participation in mini games and nibbles for your table and don’t forget your costumes and ingenious team names! See you there!

11.01.2022 FOOTY IS BACK! This weekend both our Women and our Sub Junior teams officially get started with Round 1! We hope you can get out and support the women on Saturday arvo, and the Subbies on Sunday, as restrictions on spectators at local footy have been increased to 1000! Tonight the canteen will be open for the Subbies, and the bar will be open all weekend. Saturday night we'll have RG Riks Grill with a food truck from 5pm, serving up some unreal BBQ grill before our Seniors... event, celebrating the 4th of July! There are also a number of trial matches at the Club over the weekend, so make sure you swing by and support the Vikings!
