21.01.2022 My apologies to The Happy Beats & Belconnen dancers. Today I had to make a decision to put family first. After a trip to Drs with Dad he was in pain as well as very tired! Today Kate hit a wall after 2 months from losing her brother to suicide and was very down. To tell you the truth so was I, my birthday brought all this to a head for me. Soooo with Dad unwell, Kate down, depressed and me sad!!! Well today was a family day & as there’s no dancing tomorrow till late, Today seemed a good time to be a family for a day. Looking after each other. Sorry but see you all on the dance floor next week. It was thT or collapse in a screaming heap in the near future. So thanks for your understanding.

16.01.2022 Do you know the stages of a seizure? Prodromal phase (Before) Sensations unique to an individual may be experienced in the hours, or even days, before a seizu...re. According to @CUREforEpilepsy, only about 20% of people with epilepsy will experience this stage. Unlike an aura, this phase is not considered a part of the seizure. Aura (Beginning) The earliest sign of seizure activity. Deja vu, unusual smells or tastes, vision difficulties, nausea, dizziness, fear, or panic are common signs experienced, but others may also occur. Ictal phase (Middle) Time from the first symptom to the end of the seizure activity, when intense electrical activity occurs. Post-ictal phase (End) The period of time immediately following a seizure, where the physical after-effects of the seizure are felt. Thought of as the recovery phase. Please share this information to educate people that there is more to seizures than the middle stage, when the signs of a seizure may be more visible.

16.01.2022 Another great dance our Happy Beats are getting into. It helps us build coordination skills, musicality, self confidence and is fun! We then use all those skills learnt, in our partner dancing.

On entry you will be asked to sanitise your hands, have your temperature taken and register. 07.01.2022 As promised here is the information on donations in Matthews memory. A service in Townsville assisted people like Matthew dealing with mental health challenges... and more, with meals, activities and support. It is called the Inspire Clubhouse and does great work on the ground in Townsville. So I believe this would be a fitting way to honour my Matthews memory. The Clubhouse is part of Selectability and to ensure that the funds go straight to the Inspire Club house it is important to put the notation of Inspire on the donation. The details are:- Any monetary donations can be deposited into the following account: Name: Selectability BSB: 014-490 ACC: 181067326 In the reference section, please insert ‘Inspire’. Our finance department has been notified so any donated funds are to be released straight to the Clubhouse to utilise for programs. The team, along with a few members will discuss how best to honor Matt when considering use of any donations. I thank you again for considering Inspire as a recipient.
