19.01.2022 Save the planet? How can we be so arrogant? The planet is stronger than us. We can't destroy it; if we overstep the mark, the planet will simply erase us from its surface and carry on existing. (Coelho, The Winner stands alone ) @paulocoelho #savethebees #beethecure

16.01.2022 Wow, this looks interesting. A local neighbour is making this syrup to help keep your immune system strong & healthy using some Raw honey from our bees in Yatala. Will be grabbing a bottle for sure. Anyone using raw honey knows how good it is and tastes.

13.01.2022 A N Z A C D A Y 2 0 2 0 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning... We will remember them. See more

12.01.2022 After the recent rains, our changing landscape has undergone a remarkable change. Of course with a change in the weather, after a prolonged dry period ...brings the planting of new crops within our horticultural industries. Our beekeepers are also chasing the changing colours in the landscape. From the recent increase in rainfall in a few farming regions, some honey bee colonies were recently relocated to ‘black soil country’ or cropping country, which after rains offers a diversity of forage providing a nutritious diet for our starving honey bee colonies. In this circumstance, bee colonies may be located within flying distance of horticultural crops, so where possible we’re asking our farming friends to be mindful of honey bees foraging in your crop and where possible initiate ‘bee friendly’ farming practices. Our farming colleagues can access the BeeAware website for further information, you can find the link below. https://beeaware.org.au/ The same can be said on a smaller scale, when gardening in your own back yard. Being mindful of honey bees in your back goes a long way to improving the health of our industry. We need your help Queensland, this time it’s pretty simple. We need you to share this post with EVERYONE. If you know of a farming group within social media, could you give this post a shout out please. The drought will roll on for our honey bees for some time yet, with your help we can rebuild the strength of our honey bee colonies and assist them through this recovery phase.
