22.01.2022 Damien Ryan from KITCHFIT visited us today to see for himself how our eggs are produced, with the view of supplying his exciting new venture in Launceston.

21.01.2022 Mr Gingerham and Miss Pinky. Pretty boy Mr G is learning the ropes to become a good rooster. Miss Pinky, always the last in the caravan at night, prefers a top roost space which have all been taken by the time she decides to go to bed. When we lock the caravan up for the night, she runs towards us. We pick her up and find a spot for her on the top roost. This happens every night! Happy girl. Smart girl. We are at Harvest Launceston tomorrow morning with all your favourite egg sizes. 600g and 700g will be going on special.

08.01.2022 Is there a difference between white eggs and brown eggs? Are brown eggs better in nutritional value than white eggs? There is no difference. The difference in shell colour is in the genes of the chook. White-feathered chooks with white earlobes lay white eggs; red or brown chooks with red earlobes lay brown eggs; and some breeds lay less commonly found blue and speckled eggs. The colour of an egg shell is not an indicator of quality. Our chooks are free to roam and are pasture raised on green grass, bugs, worms, insects and anything else they can find by scratching and foraging, which is why our eggs are richer in colour, flavour and nutrition.
