16.01.2022 ‘Super Stories with Happy Habits’ The Launceston Library are proud to be hosting ‘Super Stories with Happy Habits’ for families this Saturday morning (Feb 27th) at 10.30am, outside the library in Civic Square. Come and share in the delight of stories, fairy tales, rhymes, songs and picture books. Recall old favourites and discover new classics with local actors and educators, Kerri Gay and Bindy Stephens.... These ‘Super Stories’ sessions for children will encourage a love of reading, stimulate children’s imaginations and enable fun social interaction with other children outside your home. ‘Super Stories with Happy Habits’ is FREE and fun for the entire family and is designed to be enjoyed by children of all ages. This event is the first of an exciting series of new live performances the Launceston library have planned called ‘Live at the Library’, and is thanks to the library of Launceston inc. Bookings are not required, just come along for some fun!

12.01.2022 Riverside Primary students learnt strategies to ‘slow down, to calm down’ during our ‘Stressica’ productions - ‘Post Show Wellness Workshop’ on Fri 19th March. Students learnt mindful breathing and massage techniques to support them whenever they are having strong emotions, like stress,sadness or anger. This event is part of an exciting new series of new live performances the Launceston Library has planned called ‘Live at the Library’ and is thanks to the support of ‘Friends of the Library Launceston Inc’.
